- My wife and I were sitting at home one day. Next thing we know cops were knocking on our door. We were hesitant to answer the door because we didn’t know that my 19-month-old son dialed 911. The cops walked into my house, even though I told them they couldn’t without a warrant. They said since 911 was called, they can enter and look to make sure no one was hurt. One of the officers went in my room and found roaches and a bowl not in plain sight – in a small ashtray underneath a stack of magazines. You wouldn't be able to see it unless you moved the magazines completely of the shelf. The court wants to give me a $750.00 dollar fine for the bowl and submit to drug testing, but they said they would drop the possession charge for the roaches. I think that was an illegal search and that evidence should be thrown out. Is that legal? Can they do that or is that illegal?

- When police or any other law enforcement agency search or raid your home, will a K-9 unit be present or can they call the dogs in if they can't find anything?

- Is an anonymous tip enough for police to obtain a search warrant or a no-knock search warrant to your house simply by word mouth?

- On my way out of a convenience store, an undercover officer asked me about marijuana because he saw that I bought rolling papers. After he identified himself as a cop, I was intimidated and naïve, so I gave up my two grams of marijuana in my pocket. But he wanted to know about my dealer. I don't know why he gave me a break but he did, but every time I have been stopped with marijuana, I have given it up hoping for a “break” from these cops if I was straight up with them. But it hasn’t worked. What will get them off my back?

- As I was leaving, the officer threatened to pull me over for no reason and search me and my car when I enter that city. If he actually pulls me over for no reason could I in fact file a harassment charge against him?

- Does the process of gaining entry into an apartment and an actual house differ from a motor home? If you have your belongings in a motor home, would an LEO need a warrant, or would this be subject to the same treatment as any other transportation device? What about apartments or rentals? Can LEO just have your landlord open it up? Or is possession of property more important here than ownership? Should tactics remain the same in these cases?

- Once when I left my dealer’s house, I noticed a cop car parked a few houses down behind my car on the same side of the street. I drove away checking my mirrors to see whether he pulled out as well. He didn't. I made it home after I zig-zagged through the neighborhood to make it a little harder to tail me and passed by his location again because that was the only way out. Would you have done what I did? Would you ever go back to this location? Do cops ever sit in patrol cars when watching a place?
