On my way out of a convenience store, an undercover officer asked me about marijuana because he saw that I bought rolling papers. After he identified himself as a cop, I was intimidated and naïve, so I gave up my two grams of marijuana in my pocket. But he wanted to know about my dealer. I don't know why he gave me a break but he did, but every time I have been stopped with marijuana, I have given it up hoping for a “break” from these cops if I was straight up with them. But it hasn’t worked. What will get them off my back?

There is nothing in the law that says you have to answer a kop's questions. If they give you grief about your rolling papers, ask whether having rolling papers are illegal. They’re not illegal, so ask whether you’re free to go. If they try to arrest you, ask why you are being arrested. And keep asking whether you’re free to go.
