I think it's great that we know about handlers causing false alerts. However, wouldn't it be almost impossible to convince a judge or jury that although contraband was found in your vehicle, that the dog didn't really find it?

I’ve come across some really bad drug dogs that could never find my stashes in obvious places around my house. Also, once when my son was pulled over with his friend. The friend was arrested for having outstanding warrants, but my son escaped with his weed because as the K-9 sniffed the car and my son, the dog spotted a rabbit and took off chasing it. Is there something wrong with this dog or what?
