You mentioned that a rental cannot be seized during a drug interdiction. Can you explain the dynamics of this? Also, please give your opinion on whether or not a corporation, an LLC, or trust renting out a vehicle would be a measure of safety if stopped and framed, or stopped and alerted/searched/found.

The government can only seize property from individual who had knowledge their property was being used for drug crimes. This is why rental cars cannot be seized because the rental company did not know the auto was being rented for smuggling drugs.
If an employee was smuggling drugs using a company auto, that auto is not subject to seizure unless the corporation knew of the illegal activities.
