It is common for a drug dog to jump through an open window. This can easily be articulated as an alert whether it is or isn't. Sometimes dogs jump through the open window because they smell narcotics, and sometimes it is because the dog is so excited to be searching for her toy, she jumps through so she can search the inside of the auto.
