From what I have heard, undercover cops are allowed to break almost any law to get the info they need. Are undercovers allowed to do drugs, or even sell them if it means that if doing so they can bust somebody?

    You were misinformed. All kops are not allowed to do drugs or put drugs back into the market circulation (i.e. selling). Doing so could seriously undermine many of their cases.
