Marijuana includes its seeds and stems. A K-9 can detect these. The question is will s/he? One seed has such a low-odor source that the K-9 would have to have his nose almost on the seed to detect it. Five hundred (500) seeds together have a larger odor source and can easily be detected by a dog. I would feel safe hiding 10 or 15 seeds (each hidden individually) throughout an auto or
luggage. I would also feel safe hiding seeds in a bag of mixed nuts or such. If a K- 9 were to alert, the searching officer would probably think the k-9 is wrong or is alerting to residual odors. Seeds are hard to spot. Use your imagination and you will be fairly safe transporting seeds.
