So I found out that a construction company is looking to hire in my career field. One of my old high school teachers informed me of this when I went back to visit last week. He called me over and the first thing he said to me was "can you piss clean?" I told him no.
He asked if I could get clean in a few weeks and I said yes. Because a huge opportunity has come my way. I’m currently making 300 every TWO weeks working in fast food.
My old teacher put my name in with this company because they go to him first looking for students to work. I would be making around 500 a week if I get this job, but its not even a sure thing. I may or may not get this job. Its all up in the air right now as to whether they will even call me.
But with this opportunity i have obviously decided to quit for a while. It’s been really hard and I’ll be honest, I’ve cheated a bit, but I haven’t bought any in over a week. its amazing how much money i save. With that said, I have turned to alcohol. I don’t like it but I have insomnia and don’t like taking/don’t have access to sleeping pills. I have
REALLY noticed the insomnia since I’ve quit. as a matter of fact the first day I quit I pulled an all-nighter and didn’t sleep till 3 a.m. the FOLLOWING day. I have noticed headaches also.
Now I would never turn to harder drugs but I have been finding myself going downstairs before sleep and taking 5 big gulps of my mom’s liquor. This is the problem with the drug war, and I’m noticing it first hand, for the first time ever.
