What if I mention to the cop with his K-9 the fact that a dog cannot be probable cause due to the existence of false positives and the fact that a common tactic for canine units is to induce a false positive for vehicles that they deem suspicious on a hunch alone?

    The Supreme Court has ruled an alert from a documented, trained drug dog is probable cause for search. If the dog alerts, the police have the right to search your car without your permission. If you refuse, you will be arrested for resisting a
    search because the kops now have probable cause and do not need your permission. If the K-9 false alerted, the kop will never tell you it was a false alert.
    He will pretend it was real and lie in court.
    On the side of the road, you are basically at the hands of the officers when it comes to a false alert. Hopefully your attorney will hire a good expert witness such as myself to point out the false alert in court if you are arrested.
