Barry wants me to tell you all that he's sorry he hasn't been able to attend to the forums like he wants to. However he does have some good news with the recent success of his new reality TV show Cop Busters.
Odessa Texas, The police that Barry once worked with kicked down the door to a fake grow house where their attorney was handcuffed, later to be released.
Yolanda Madden had drugs planted on her and is currently serving 8 years because of it.
Barry and crew wore red t-shirts reading "Free Yolanda" in an effort to bring attention to the case.
They busted the cops by making a fake grow room that pumped out a lot of heat and waited.
The cops, instead of doing what they should have done, went straight for a search warrant and kicked the door in.
Welcome to Cop Busters.

yeah talked to Barry too after it happened,,i havent seen it on the local news yet but i think it will be interesting to see how they spin it.
I live in odessa and im actually happy to see Barry expose the corruption here.
Violating our constitutional rights ,,, gaining bogus search warrants on fake intel without confirming or doing due diligence in their job.
these guys dont care about peoples rights.
this has been a long time coming i assure you,,,
the corruption is at all levels,,,i would say they have done a pretty good job at this point at keeping it covered
im also pretty sure the local police will be coming to this site
so let me tell you good ole boys,,,this is just the beginning,,do your job right and by the book,,you should have no troubles
unfortunately the corruption is within some judges to some attorneys all the way down to the adrenaline junkie cops
ive seen this first hand myself

When/where is it going to be on TV?
Thats awesome. The sooner cops start realizing there are people keeping them in check, the better! |

CBS 7 News Staff
December 4, 2008
Odessa, TX - Odessa Police served a warrant this afternoon looking for drugs, but instead found themselves the subject of a reality television show.
It happened around 4:30 this afternoon, when undercover police served a warrant in the 200 block of Lotteman.
The owner of the home tells us that the police were looking for drugs.
Their investigation didn't turn up any drugs, but instead several thousand dollars of video surveallance equipment and a number of protesters on site.
This is a developing story, so tune into CBS 7 News at 10 for the full story. |

news up!

| Quote: | "Kop Busters" Plants Fake Drug Den 12/4/08
Eddie Garcia
CBS 7 News
December 4, 2008
Odessa, Texas - They didn't find any drugs; instead they found a poster telling them they were on a reality show called "kop busters."
It's an online reality show that goes around the nation exposing what they say is police corruption. The reason they came to Odessa is because they were asked to by a man who says his daughter is falsely imprisoned.
Video cameras, plants masquerading, as drugs, and a message are what police found while serving a search warrant today.
Barry Cooper CEO of Kop Busters.com said: "The best equipment known to man is what Cop Busters has and we're going to continue going across America busting these cops."
The reality show team out of Austin has been setting up the fake drug den for 6 months, going through painstaking methods to keep it a secret.
"We had to use encrypted emails, we had to use Wal-Mart blowup cell phones in case our phones were tapped," said Cooper.
But why all the trouble? “Get Yolanda Madden out of prison," said Cooper.
In 2005, Odessa woman Yolanda Madden was convicted of the possession of drugs with the intent to distribute. Now she's serving a 7-year prison sentence.
"I could prove absolutely without a doubt she's innocent," said Raymond Madden
Her father says he's been trying to get a court to retry the case since the conviction.
"We had a witness that planted the drugs he testified in court that he planted the drugs," said Madden.
Cop Busters says the show exists to help fix the system.
Odessa police say the matter is still under investigation and at this point they are looking to see if any laws were broken.
We will continue to investigate the Yolanda Madden case and bring you any developments. |

I am new to this forum. I too live in Odessa and was thrilled to see the local cops busted. But its not just the local street cops, the detectives are even more corrupt. They let drug informants literally "get away with murder". My son is in jail for a crime he didn't commit. The detectives threatened, coached & coerced their drug informant and his girlfriend into saying my son murdered someone when it was clearly proven from the start that he didn't. I am so shocked at how the local law enforcement can get away with such bullshit!!! And it doesn't stop with them. It goes up the ladder!!! You are guilty until proven innocent.
Barry Cooper - you're awesome !!! Keep up the good work !!!

I love this part- "cops still looking to see if a crime was committed."
This show is going to be a hit because police will never learn! |

Barry's got some serious hair. Definitely not the cop he used to be!
That is a great video, though the news team didn't do it justice.
Are we going to see grows busted every 6 months? I hope that it goes faster than that so we can really put a fire under the cops' asses! |
