I love making my own hot sauce. Essentially the only ingredients are: peppers, onions, garlic, tomato sauce, and vinegar. The first three are put in a food processor and then cooked until simmering. Then the vinegar is added and the whole mixture gets put through a strainer(optional).
Would it be worth a try to throw some ganja in with the mixture while it's cooking? Some maybe be asking... how would you get high?, it's only a condiment. Well, I use a LOT of hot sauce. So keep that in mind |

| You would need to extract the cannabinoids with a solvent, such as butter or alcohol, and you would want to keep the temps low, under 150-200 degrees Celsius. |

All the restaurants i worked at mixed liquid butter or liquid margarine with hot sauce to make it mild. What if I just cooked the plant material off in butter and mixed it? |

Thats kinda what I was imagining, though I didn't know how butter would mix with hot sauce..
I donno what you mean by cooking it off in butter, but I'd simmer ground up plant material in butter till I thought it was done then add the butter (with ground material and all) to whatever I want to put it in, OR you could strain off the left over pulpy stuff, but I don't bother. |

I bet you could just mix in the ground up plant to the hot sauce or salsa. Just like adding oregano, or the other green stuff that i cant think of the name.
I would say start experimenting.... Its the only way to find stuff out |

Oh my god this is an awesome idea! I wish I would have thought about it. I know alot of the wing places mix the hot sauce with butter before they toss the fried wings in it. It sounds delicious. Could you imagine getting the munchies from eating hot wings and then having hot wings to eat when it sets in? Who's got the best weed butter recipe? I'm looking at Mr. C...

alot of people mix the butter and the water together to make cannabutter,,i dont like that,,have a large pan of boiling water and a smaller pan to set inside the water with the butter and weed in it.
a small screen filter is best if you can find one,,,boil for about 20 minutes and when butter is nice and green,,
just take out smaller pan and strain the butter and your done.
smells strong tho,,,be carefull and always use caution.
you need something in between the smaller pan and the larger one,, ive used a rag before,,dont want the small pan touching the bottom of the larger pan
that was for large amounts if you just need a little you can always sautee the butter in a pan with the pot,,,but i dont like anything that smokes my pot except me and my friends i have this fear of losing the THC i guess |

| Do you have a pot to butter ratio? I know you said the two bowl method was for large amounts but lets say I want to try it out but don't want to use my entire stash. If I throw in one stick of butter (8 tablespoons I think?) how much marijuana is needed for a healthy batch? |
