Our CIA makes deals with drug producers and takes the product for shipment and redistribution here in the USA.
Our military is used to stamp out competing drug producers while protecting the drug producers we make our money from.
And the government has to do it because it needs the money.
It is ludicrous to think that we cannot stop the commercial outdoor cultivation of drugs (as well as kill their producers/distributors), when we have ample technology to do so.
They can find every open poppy field with satellite and flyover technology. Then they could carpet bomb them. The whole operation could be done in a week.
