I had a chat with one NGB member here a while back,
that his friend or relative got caught receiving his
medical marijuana over postal shipping service.
As Mr.Barry mentioned, every container is permeable,
as time goes. However, if it was newly stored on
fresh non contaminated container, it could stay
that way for a while with no leaking odor.
So lets assume we packed it as anti-k9 package with
time limits of 1 week.
Now the scent is gone, but x-ray machine is
awaiting us. As I travel Internationally quiet
often, I go through lots of metal scan and x-ray
machine for my carry on bags.
What I am wondering is, how deep that x-ray machine
can look. Let's say I have MJ, container A and B.
I first wrap MJ and put it on container A, then
put container A in to container B.
So it is packed in 3 layers: wrap->A->B.
If it goes through postal/air port x-ray machine,
will it go though all the way in to MJ? or just show
container B inside postal box/carry on bag?
Another interesting thing is, a while back one
GI got caught at one of Japanese air port
for carrying a MJ. It was air tight sealed on
some kind of metal can-food container.
(ones you see at local mart for beens and corn
things) So I'm sure x-ray penetraits metal can,
but if there was another container inside metal can,
would that GI got caught anyway, or would he
never got busted? |

Im not sure about the Xray question. To avoid Xray in mail, just send in media mail. It goes just like a letter which is under less scrutiny and processes. Gloves, smelly proof bag, dvd case, fake names,so forth. hell can even get the wrappin and seal it shut so if its accidentally opened or anything in between it will look like a new dvd.. By the way a dvd weighs about an ounce.. Coincidence?? Hope it is. I also believe if it is encountered, theyll send you a letter or notice to pick up your packge at the post office. And since its something you sent and you know no signature is required you don't go. Cause you were "never" expecting a package anyway. Enjoy. |

One thing they look for when X-raying packages and similar packages of the same size. If there smuggling something.
Or something that resembles a bomb.
Just a tip. |

if they cant see through a shaped object in a container they will search... i had some food wrapped in foil once and the dude went nuts and made me unwrap all the food and throw the foil away... he said most of it was showing up as black mass on the screen... they look out for those kind of indicators... another note.. try enclosing it in lead, works against superman! |

| That's why it depends where its located. Your food mass was random and they couldn't tell what it was. In a shoe box in shoes all they should expect to see is black inside such as the paper it comes with when bought. That is all I was saying.. |
