okay i was growing some green in my closet and my parents made me move it. I moved it to a field about a block behind my house that is public property and some of the land is also annexed off by neighbors. If i get caught being in the field but not directly touching or messing with the plants can i be charged of any crime?

Not hard to connect you and the plant if a neighbor sees you repeatedly. Open area? Foot traffic?

Make sure no trail leads to your house! In the Midwest it is common for police to catch criminals leaving tracks in the snow leading to their front door!
Put tape on the bottom of your shoes too. |

well actually there is just a regular sidewalk to it from my neighborhood so they could suspect anyone in my neighborhood, thanks for the tips though, and i will try the tape on the shoe thats a really good idea, and if you have any other tips on how to conceal my plants out in the field i would appreciate it

well my plants are only about 60 yards from the sidewalk so i would be able to see if someone was messing with them before i entered the field, infact i need to go check on them right now haha

Different laws apply to different states but most states have trespassing laws but do not enforce them unless somebody complains. At this time, the police usually give a verbal warning to not trespass again.
Citizens are rarely arrested for trespassing the first time.
