the scuba tank is a very good idea... i have a thread i've been discussing this same topic on this site
http://www.nevergetbusted.com/ngbbb/viewtopic.php?t=1392&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
also, here is a website with a guy that wrote a story on his experience with using a propane tank for smuggling. I encourage all to read it.
http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v08.n291.a08.html
take note that the tank he used was fully operable upon inspection by customs. also realize that the product concealed inside was suspended within the tank so that a tone test (knocking on the tank) would still give that recognizable echo that tanks give. you wouldnt want to fill the tank to the brim and null the echo it makes when you tap on it... good indicator that something solid is in the tank.
read it, its a pretty neat story. |

orale!!!!! thats a cool story,.. sound like a corrido...do you know how much it would cost to convert my car that only runs on gasoline to run on propane also? so i can install a liquid draw tank for vehicles... how much will it be to do all the lines and everything so i can switch it over to propane whenever....you know of a good place? |

It is a good concept, but how credible is that website? It looks like it was made in Microsoft Frontpage |

true, it does look like a gimmicky website but a good idea is a good idea. If you think about it you can pull a million cons and pros out of the tank solution.
ok so this is why i'd be wary of using a dang tank, first off dont get caught with just a tank in your back seat or trunk... especially one of the 5 gallon+ tanks because thats automatic suspicion. Its one of those methods that probably work so well that its a no brainer to check it once found.
another problem is that putting your product in it and then filling the tank with gas is going to contaminate your product (propane laced green anyone?). not putting any gas in there will result in an overwhelming whiff of green goodness once the knob is turned. if you knock off the knobs and weld it shut.. now it looks like a bomb... not good.
the weakest part of the tank is the threaded connection where the valve connects into the tanks... not sealed properly... houston we have problems!
i guess if you do it this way your chances of beating a dog is much higher than anyother but you get caught wit a tank i imagine they will tear it apart especially if no gas comes out on a sniff test.
like i said great idea lots of pros and cons. |

google is god of information... search "vehicle propane conversion" for example and a wealth of information on do it yourself kits and conversion centers magically appear |

| i think the propane idea is good...the guy had propane tank inside a propane tank ( the way i see it,thats two systems in one and narcotics dont know,.. so they check one system and assume there is only one,.. so when that passes the whole system passes) so that the small propane tank was what was connected to the valves so when turned on the small propane tank is what turns on...so the big tank was totally sealed and since its a PROPANE tank i think these are made to have as low permeability as possible so the bud stashed inside hanging off a rope wont permeate to the outside for a while..(that takes care of the dog )and since the only thing connecting to the outside of the tank is the small tank but the only way that gets out is through the copper tubing, and thats a different system not the same as the whole inside of the propane tank the bud odor wont have a way of getting out,....until of course you open the tank...which is totally safe cause it will be empty the only thing with propane is the little tank...ill just drive a bad ass truck f-350, and say that thats my propane tank,.. which can come stock on some f-350's,..and i switch to sometimes,oh whats that sir you wanna see?ok and switch it over and voila it turns on and smile at them and be like anything else?oh whats that, you wanna see me drive away see if it really works?ok and drive away, after all that IS what i want...sound like a good idea to me, or at least the concept is... |

I used to drive a ton truck, for picking up counter top blanks,as I used to work at A top shop. the truck was A 80's model Chevy, that had a conversion to run either gas or propane, with a switch.I would drive to Atlanta, from Valdosta,Ga. it would Take Me to Atlanta on 1 tank of gas,and back on 1 tank of propane.
Just stoned and rambling |
