I would like to address the drug dog issue and get some thoughts on this. The day we were raided, they brought the dog into my house and first allowed me to turn over what I had if I didn't want them to tear my house to shreds. I took them back to my bedroom, opened my dresser draw and handed over my pipe and a small tupperware container of minimal amount of marijuna. My container was almost empty, but I did have another stash hidden in my husband's dresser drawer and I made the decision to "forget" that that was there and when I turned my pipe and container over, they proceeded to have me leave the room with a police officer and they brought the dog in. There was a 1/4 ounce of MJ was wrapped in a baggie, hidden in the top dresser drawer of a metal dresser and the dog never found it. To the left of that dresser is the door to my closet and right inside my closet door, hanging on a hook is an old purse of mine and I keep my grinder, old pipes I don't use anymore (including a big bulky metal pipe made for me by an old boyfriend in 1973 when we were in high school from stuff laying around shop class), there was a baggie of seeds that I had in the purse and some other "HS memoribilia". The dog never hit on any of this stuff. The only thing disturbed in my room was that I had 2 old pieces of pottery with a cork in the top of each one that had belonged to my grandmother and they removed the cork from each bottle and laid the corks beside the bottle. I later found out that my son had a pair of sneakers sitting on the front porch by the front door and inside the one shoe he had a pipe stashed. The dog never got that either.
On another occassion, my son was a passenger in a car that got pulled over and the driver was arrested for outstanding warrents, which left my son in a pickle as he did not have a Driver's license at the time. The cop proceeded to arrange for the K9 to search the car and my son was detained while the search was conducted. He was carrying a pipe and small baggie which was in his pants pocket on the leg of his shorts. The dog sniffed on him and never found it. BTW, the search was not a complete search as the dog spotted a rabbit and took off chasing it. LEO was quite embarrassed according to my son. We were then allowed to go pick up our son and take him home none to the worse. Is there something wrong with this dog or what?? I mean I am forever grateful to this little pup but geesh, I ALMOST feel compelled to call our K9 officer and tell him of his problem dog !! NOT !
I do have a question and I know this may sound really silly, but several months ago we had a cat crawl under our kitchen floor (in a crawl space) and died. I cannot even begin to explain the most horrible smell that came up through the floor and the kitchen sink and it took us days to even find the problem but because the decaying cat laid in dirt and not on concete the smell remained even after the cat was removed. I called my Dad and his suggestion was to lay charcoal briquets on the spot where the cat was laying. We did that and within the hour, the smell started to lessen. Within 12 hours there was no smell and never has been to this day. Has charcoal ever been tested as a means of eliminating the oder of MJ? Just a "senior" thought.
Back to the dog issue for a second with a question. I can't have anything in my home right now due to my kids being on probation, but there is going to come a time soon when I will be able once again to smoke in my bedroom. Based on the set up in my room I would like some pointers on where I plan to hide my pipe and container. I have the ability to hide my items on top of a window which I keep open (so my items are up quite high)and that window is covered with a set of shutters that are kept partially closed. I would put my items behind the one shutter. In front of my window is my 2 tier computer stand, so the top shelf is about 1/2 way up the wall/window. On the shelf I keep my speakers, cookies, meds that I take, hand lotion and air spray, etc. The shelf is full. THe window basically is useless for it's intended purpose. Now not based on the dog we have now on our force, but the average to above average dog, what are the chances the dog would pick up on that location? Also, what is the average service time of a drug dog?
If I talk too much, please tell me to cool it. I just have so much to say. Sorry !

oh I am not smoking at my house as long as kids are on probation. Moving is out of question, it won't ever happen. Probation officers have never even stepped foot in my house after they did their initial visit. I put my german shepherd/rottie mix in my room even when Probation shows up on my porch. The just usually just talk to the kids on the front porch and leave. BUT I am still not ever taking the chance of having anything here. I am strictly talking about down the road after things quiet down.
Then I just wanted to know the range basically that a good drug dog can smell, like 6 foot up the wall, behind a large desk, behind a set of wooden shutters in a tupperware container with the window opened. Just wanted someone who knows to say yeah a good dog can smell it or no probably not. |

Well about the dog missing things, if you watch Barrys dvd he tells you how another animal in the car like a cat will keep the dog from doing his job most of the time, even if the cat is gone the smell from the cat is still there.also he said road kill will do the same thing. So that explains to me why the dog missed things in your house(you said you have another dog)and you said with your sons traffic stop there was a rabbit there.
i think i would get a couple cats for my home too |

| i dont belive in luck or superstition, but wow, either you got skill for stashing things or knowledge of where to hide them, but yea i think the animals in your house did the trick but that wouldnt explain the one with your kid, maybe someone is taking care of you from heaven like malverde or one of your relatives....o and thanks for the charcoal idea i didnt know about that one, back to the drawing board |

I have a bag of charcoal brickets I'm going to crush some and fashion some sort of AC filter and see if it gets rid of odors effectively.
I don't know how briquets (will research)are made but activated charcoal I believe just has a lot more surface area.
Regular charcoal may be effective if not as as efficient if the grain size is small enough to provide satisfactory surface area.
I'm all into DIY on the cheapo. |

All of your questions are covered in Volume 1 and 2 of the NeverGetBusted series. I'll answer them here for you as well:
1. When the police ask for and manipulate you out of your stash it is usually because they know the drug dog sucks! only about 1 in 10 police dogs can locate drugs with efficiency.
2. The rabbit helped your son. I recommend in my videos to spray animal urine on your tires or to carry a cat in the car. This tactic appeals to the K-9's overwhelming desire to chase prey instead of looking for the stash.
3. Be imaginative when hiding your stash at home. Remember to contaminate your entire house with the odor of pot so the drug dog alerts everywhere during a search. This frustrates the handler leaving humans to locate your well hidden stash. NEVER contaminate your auto in this manner unless you are using a decoy car.
Charcoal filters are used in grow rooms to completely eliminate marijuana odors to humans. Dogs can still smell it.
Lime might have also worked for the dead cat problem.
