So a couple months ago my school brought in drug dogs. My car was alerted by the dogs. The thing is, it wasnt even a cop with the dog. It was just some lady. I then had to open the car and she found a roach and paraphanalia.
the question is. Is she not allowed to search my car because she was not a cop? |

| Don't ever leave anything in your car when on school grounds. If you have to, park your car off of school grounds. They are allowed to and will search your car, bookbag and locker. |

Cops cannot search you without a warrant even on school grounds.
However, school officials can search you even without a warrant. If that lady was part of the school or school district then yes she has the right to search you.
Schools pretty much take your civil rights away. |

School systems have the right to search for drugs and or paraphenielia anywhere on there property. As long as the police are in co-operative with the school they can search you because the school gave them permission. If it was a lady at the school she also has the right to saerch you or your vehicle. If you refuse consent and leave. you could have gotten away with it. If there are no police present then they are not allowed to use force on you to restrain you. Both of my parents worked in schools and I know the rules.
ANYWHERE,ANYTHING can and will be searched on school property. If the police are present that is because the school wants them there. |

Brute,
Cops can search an auto on school grounds without a warrant...all they need is: permission or a K-9 alert.
I owned a K-9 search company where I searched schools all the time with my dog. According to most school policy, student's lockers and cars can be searched at any time by any of the staff.
