Its too late in the season, but next year i want to grow a plant or 2. i personally don't think it will be very noticeable by sight or smell if i were to just grow them in the yard. we don't have nosey neighbours and there is a head to block off main street visibility. is growing a couple plants in my yard a safe idea. i'm not worried about the police as much, i am canadian for that matter. but i was wondering if it would stink enough to attract neighbours.

I have always helped out friend with things.....and, most people can get away with something...

You know, bottom line is when you get them in (veg time).....if you run later in season, they can stay pretty small, or even earlier if topped/fimmed, trained, etc..AF's, etc....

You hear about choppers "smelling" ops at significant heights, but, those cases, they're talking 50,000+ plants (6-8-10 footers) and such, and, lot of people would agree, it's all just a matter of the wind blowing the right way, the right time....

I've seen things you could smell 100yds away, and, same plots you couldn't smell until right on top of them (again...wind, temps, etc....)

Couple/several small(er) ones.....would most liekyl be fine...(I have one guy who was doing about 500 late season mini's in suburban yard in a dog run.....never had a problem....another one, similar scenario...suburban wooded lot with heavy bush's separating lots......running maybe 50 3 foot bushes, etc.....)

Strain dependent also.....some things reek, some do less, and some are low odor to start with.....(I've never chosen stock specifically for this, so, couldn't name any lower odor strains, but, sure that there are some out there....recall discussions about them..(NL comes to mind maybe?.......recall NL being mentioned....I've run many versions of it...didn't straike me as particularly stinky......

Depends also on how much surrounding heavy vegetation....when talking forest conditions....a lot of fresh green smell already in air.....and, one can't forget also, while some may be able to differentiate between a skunk and plants in the world........most can't I think.....

In any case....depends what your running (how large, how many)....as I said....I've seen a lot of urban and suburban batches......no one lost any yet or had a problem...so...

Between planting schedules, AF's, and force flowering, schedule really your own also (or could do a combination of the above....some af's, some forced, and some lates, all small, harvesting the entire season, but, of course, up north, have to be aware of your frost's.....first and last....
