icantbelieveyoudgothisfar,
I do accept your apology, but I would like to remind you that although assertiveness and straight forwardness are good traits to have, they can sometimes get the best of us if we do not keep our emotions in check.
With that said I could not agree with you more regarding “the pushers, the cartels, the murderers, the rapists and the thieves who will take anyone out in their quest to push a product or get said product.”
This is why I believe that if the drug war were to end and all drugs were made legal with the same rules such as alcohol, and tobacco then by doing so we have removed the #1 reason for all the cartels to exist in the first place. TAKE AWAY THE BLACK MARKET, and PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. However I have come to a new understanding that if that were to really happen then the main country we would be putting out of business is our own.
The questions lie with the REAL reason that we ever decide to go into a certain country, or not go into a certain country. I believe that our government only gets involved with whatever will fit their best interest. Take the poverty of the world for example. Instead of us trying to push our version of democracy on the people of the world, perhaps we should be teaching them about safe sex, and sexually transmitted infections. All those commercials for “just 10 cents a day, you can feed this child in this country, and provide them with an education.” What good does that education do for the family of that child if all they are going to do is keep perpetuating the cycle of poverty? WHY don’t we send them condoms, for crying out loud? Some might say, “Well that is just not their way of life;” and I say to that, “Well I don’t think that the American way of democracy is their way of life either, but yet why do we push it so much upon other nations?”
I believe that people should use a barter system, and trade goods for goods. We have learned from the decades of the credit card that credit should have never been established in the business world. Just look at the credit of our nation. Do you honestly believe that we as a “super power” have everything it takes to be a “super power”? I don’t, because all you have to do is look at the value of our US currency.
Last I checked it cost our government Six cents to make one Penny. Our country occupies just 5% of the world’s population, but yet we spend over 50% of our budget on defense. Can someone tell me what is wrong with the picture that I have just painted here?
Any way, apology accepted, and I pray for the hardest lesson to anyone who tries to push drugs onto children, which is a perversion of our youths’ innocence, and they deserve the same treatment that a child molester should get. I don’t believe in cruel punishments, but there are certain laws that should never be broken, and then there are some laws that should have never been presented to the system. |

| One thing that no one has touched on is the drug companies. It saddens me to know that our health care system is nothing more than a disease treatment system... where doctors are taught by the drug companies to tread diseases with drugs. The united states has more people die every year from over the counter drugs and 'properly' prescribed drugs, than 7 jumbo jets fully loaded with passengers crashing every day of the year with no survivors. Yet no one cries out about the injustices done to sick people made ill about the huge cartels who are only looking out for their bottom line, caring little about patients unless what they have just happens to bring them profit. God put marijuana here and it is a natural product given to us for a reason. People need to wake up and smell the roses, It has been shown time and time again in many clinical trials that 'weed' is very beneficial in numerous circumstances, yet many states are slow to adopt a plan where people can benefit from it. To top that off, federal law still discriminates against users for any purpose, regardless of the states laws. The tobacco industry was prepared many years ago to cultivate, process, manufacture weed cigarettes for profit until it was to the point that the government said no... for what reason? Because there was more profit to be made from arresting, prosecuting and detaining the offenders. What we need is a grass roots campaign to restore our rights under the constitution before we have none, which is rapidly coming as our rights erode and we get closer to martial law. People need to get out of their shells and comfort zones and stand up and be counted before its too late. |

I feel a need to make a few observations about icantbelieveyoudgothisfar, and I hope that this poster is still following the forum, I hope for a response.
Firstly, you may not be a cop, but you are definitely not a college professor. The composition of your posts do not reflect the intellectual nature of a person in academics. I think you picked this profession to make yourself sound respectable and intelligent, but your statements immediately diffuse that illusion. Rather your words reflect the sort of person that would put on a tin foil hat if it will protect the school children from drug dealers trying to get to their lunch money.
Secondly, I've never known anyone outside of the military or law enforcement to think of themselves as citizens, let alone would refer to themselves as a "DAMNED CITIZEN" as you referred to yourself. I'm an American, and in my damned citizen mind that's more then just a citizen, the only people who put me and my fellow kind into the citizen category are the people who think they elevate above it. And I want to know what kind of damned citizen college professor are you to be photographed with K'9's and "loads"? Loads? That sounds like cop lingo to me, not a typical reference I hear people use in every day life.
Thirdly, have you ever been to a strip club? Like more then once? What's this about a friend going home with the stripper and everyone else takes pictures because they are too poor? You've had a very strange strip club experience indeed, and I am a little afraid it has tainted your perception of the reality of it. I never paid any strippers who came home with me, and I certainly never invited my friends to take pictures regardless of their financial status. You have a warped take on the world around you my friend. And I have many stripper friends who would be highly offended to be associated with "Full service" hookers like you referred too. Many of them don't like even stripping beyond just their top, because it crosses a moral line for them.
If you are a police officer, I find you guilty of being innocent to the good in the world, having been overexposed to the bad. You don't think of these "dopers" and strippers, as people. You think they are dopers and strippers, and unworthy of your compassion. And your greatest offense in the eyes of my court, is this following quote from you. "(wait, families don't count to dopers). "
What counts more then family? You think people who smoke weed don't care about their families? Well put on your tin foil hat because you are not going to like this. Smoking weed can bring families together. I smoke it with my family, and we have never been closer. It brings people together. The psychoactive effects that you fear so deeply would warp society can actually bring a person into a healthier mental and physical state.
This plant grew from the same earth that you and I came from. It was not brewed up in the lab of some evil witch or cartel scientist. It was brewed in Gods lab. And I am not alone in the opinion that s/he meant us to use it to better ourselves. I think this because of my personal spiritual journey, and how Marijuana saved me from the darkest parts of myself.
I believe it could save you too. |

Someone is paying attention. There is no profit in making people well or curing them, only treating the disease and symptoms.
Ever look into HFC?(High Fructose Corn Syrup)
I swear to God it's a government conspiracy to keep us fat and sick.
It was originally made to fatten cattle at the feed lot. It cuts off the communication between the brain and stomach so you don't feel full and keep eating. It's in everything now days, stuff that doesn't even need it. Just try cutting it out of your diet and see what's left to eat. Our Government apply such a high tariff's on sugar food manufactures have no choice but to use it. Some country's like Canada won't allow it because they know how unhealthy it is for humans.
Look into it, it is truly sick and evil. Same thing with Microwaves if you want to hear that rant also. They are killing us slowly by what they do to our food, they render food useless nutrition wise.
We live in a sick, corrupted & greedy world these days. |

| There will always be people who lump together and associate Pot smoking with hard core drugs , Or as a gate way to the use of hard drugs. |

Considering some of the people who admit to having tried marijuana, one could just as easily postulate that it is a gateway to politics. [/b] |
