I was cleaning my pipes today and I had alot of resin on my hands. I needed to change my daughter so I washed my hands with soap to no avail. I then grabbed a Wal-Mart brand scented baby wipe and within seconds all the resin was gone and there was no smell at all.
Do you think this could work in place as a cleanup for your car, or yourself if you get pulled over? I mean If it takes all the resin off my hands almost instantley there has to be some use for it. |

Nice tip! I'll have to try this.
I wonder what sort of emulsifiers they put in there? Surely not any solvents stronger than alcohol.
Can others verify this works well?
After we get a little consensus I'll move this to the tips section. |

| ok i think the ingredient that does it is propylene glycol it contains acetone and alcohol which cannabanoids are soluble in, check it out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propylene_glycol, although not all baby wipes contain this most of them do |

Nice find! It lists as one of its uses as a solvent for organics in food. Hmn.
Adequate substitute for other solvents? |

I read someone's post in here talking about chloruform being the best solvent. I just read that there is chloroform in Proyplene glycol.
And you were right dude. It is the only one that makes sense seeing how damn near all the baby wipes at Wal-mart today had it in them.
People look very funny at the guy with no kids with him in the baby section scanning with his eyes avery back of the wipes. |

Um... Just to clear up some chemistry confusion, proyplene glycol DOES NOT contain acetone or chloroform. It is a diol alcohol and is miscible with water, acetone, and chloroform (meaning it can be mixed with these substances and form a homogeneous solution).
Being an alcohol, THC will be soluble to a certain extent in proyplene glycol, which brings us back to the evidence that will back up why these baby wipes containing proyplene glycol will clean marijuana resin. |

The wipes will work to "decontaminate" pot odors if the surface to be wiped is low in pours meaning hard slick surfaces such as counter tops and auto exteriors. It will also work for auto interior surfaces that are slick and hard.
Pot dust and resin can "hide" in carpet and upholstery making wipes ineffective. My recommendation is to use the wipes as indicated in the first paragraph of this post and shampoo everything else.
Nice discovery on the wipes! Anything that will easily remove resin will certainly remove pot odors.
