My story sucks. Just read. Keep in mind I am a minor. 17 years of age.
My friends and I all met up at a McDonalds to hook up this girl we knew with a fat zip. We did so and soon after we smoked a couple blunts and I drank all the peach schnapps. We went to a local music venue, the conservatory, to watch the show playing that night but didn't want to smoke outside the building. Didn't wanna smoke in the car around that particular section of OKC cause we knew better. We decide to detour our way to a rich part of the city and to no surprise we found a nice quiet neighborhood. We parked and we were there for like one minute maybe and just about to leave until this police officer drives by.
We started to drive and another cop who crept up behind us flashed his lights.
He commanded us to roll down the window and we did as he said. He then leans into the car with a flash light looking around and says "you know what I smell?". We all reply with "new car smell?". He tells the driver to get out of the car and he does. The other cop gets me out of the car while the first one talks with the driver. I'm compliant and polite but I didn't need him at that moment. After all he did accuse me of the full pack of cigarettes he found on the floor of the back seat being mine. Whatever man. We all passed our sobriety tests anyways.
They see unopened and distastefully warm beers on the passengers floor. The first cop asks the driver if he could search the trunk and the driver says alright. He searches the trunk while the driver sits on the ground. The cop takes advantage of the drivers position and looks into the car via the already open car doors. They open the glove box and find two ounces and a bong. One of the worst feelings a harmless pot smoker shouldn't ever have to endure is inventory. They ask if we had anymore and I said "What?..I don't have any bud?" but as the other cop drives off the girl tells the remaining cop that she had a zip in the back seat.
I get charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
The first cop told the driver "We're gonna have fun with this.". Exact words.
That marijuana wasn't mine. That bong didn't belong to me. I was clean but they made me look dirty.
Court every other month, Sixteen hours of community service, Large fines, A felony, and Three zips of fine kb lost to the police are what I got out of that night.
Is guilty by association not injustice at it's finest? |

This made me laugh
Sucks bro.. Was it not your car?
Watch out who your rolling with or what they've got on them rather.. Carry small amounts(if you must) and no paraphenalia. Having that bong on you was a stupid move. And you guys shouldn't have had alchohol with you in the car.. Especially if you're underage. What do you expect the cops to do? |

First off bongs in cars is a bad idea. keep it to small pipes or joints with small amounts of MJ
Secondly, your lucky you didnt get charged with more for having those beer cans in the car
Thirdly, if those were in the glove box they should be the possessions of the driver not you. In my state there is a law ( a cop told me so it should be true) If your so close to the illicit substance you can be charged for possession even if it wasnt on you. |
