I am attempting to make a master list of diseases that marijuana helps with appropriate studies/links.

With an exception (just one) to Fox news, (I absolutely hate fox news)

I can confidently say that these websites aren't biased.

This is very time-consuming and I will add more in the future if the people wish me to do so. Post some links yourself if you want!

I can honestly say from my own life that i use marijuana not just recreationaly but medicianly. two and a half weeks with no marijuana just so i can pass a drug test for a job, has shown me how much i really do use the plant to heal. i find that without it i am emotionaly unstable, depressed, unmotivated, distant, just over all mizerable even with my closest friends around me.

There is a book "Marihuana the forbidden medicine" by Lester Grinspoon, M.D.

This doctor lost his son to cancer at a young age. He let his son use marijuana to ease the nausea after the chemo. He said that it improved his sones quality of life by alot.

After finding out that marijuana actually worked he researched and found what else it helps. This is a very informative book with many uses for different disease that I've never even heard about.

It also shows some of the side effects of other legal medications and how in some cases Marijuana actually saved there lives.

I suggest you go order it at barnes and noble today very good book.

Cool, I will check it out. My doctors were so quick to give me Vicodin ,Morphine ,Oxycontin and other narcotics. They made me throw up and feel depressed. Marijuana is WAYYYYYYY Less bad then those, and if a doctor can prescribe drugs that people over-dose on ALL THE TIME, why cant they prescribe me marijuana?

Thank god for dispensaries.

Nice Work!
Now any Prohibitionists who dare argue the medicinal properties of Marijuana can be referred here for re-education. big grin
And to be fair:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Placebo#Modern_clinical_application

If it works for you, and the side effects are considered pleasurable, why not let people have it? I'd rather my medicine made me feel good than the way the Jetson's approach to medicine makes you feel.
My Father suffers Neuropathy and Ive seen him geeked out on Opiates and other strong Pain killers over the course of years. He would never puff. If Pot were a pill though, and it worked, and it was called "Phukidol" or something, I know he'd take it.
We mistrust anything non refined, or manufactured as ineffective.
I got a lotta problems, nice pills don't fix them all. Pot fixes more in me than it harms me. If its all in my mind, pass some more wonder-bud please!

I totally understand man, it sucks. Hopefully decriminalization and medical marijuana can be moved to one of your states. I would LOVE it if Texas, shit every state, had medical marijuana.

I'm very sorry about your father. I feel the same way about the big pharmaceutical manufacturers, but at the same time there's not much anyone can do alone. Probbaly the ONLY thing that is keeping marijuana illegal is the big pharmaceutical companies don't want it out because it would take away their clients. Fuck synthetic marijuana. Down with Marinol

i started having blurry vision & other symptoms, it was my blood pressure, wow 210/170. i bought a blood pressure machine to monitor it and started medication well the one 10mg pill a day did nothing to help so the Dr gave me 2@ day, 20mg each, BP still high, Dr can't believe it, asked what was bothering me like i was depressed. told Dr my pain is killing me even though i have pain medication and a implanted pain pump. BP still high Dr added one more pill a day at noon, its a different kind from the other BP med.
anyway all this to say, when my BP was high i would go outside sit on the swing and smoke a good one and my BP would go down every time, according to my BP machine. i could never tell the Dr this because the repercussions could be worst than the sickness itself. sadly
sorry so long

peace & pot
