Anyone else smoke before or during a work out?

I do a quick work out of sit ups push ups and three kinds of pull ups, and sometimes i go and ride my bike, i usually smoke during or before i start.
It really doesnt affect my endurance any when i do this, except sometimes my throat gets dry during a bike ride.

I've never been able to do this.. I run about 3 miles and do as close to 100 crunches as I can a day. Two years of being a chain smoker have made a difference in my endurance.. And I have bad asthma too..

I don't think smoking AFTER working out would be a big deal.. At least concerning the munchies.. It's best to eat after working out because your body is thrown into chaos and looking for an energy source... Somebody alot smarter than me explained this.. Like your body will metabolize what you eat faster after you work out..

I like to smoke and then go on a mountain hike and smoke smoke again at or near the summit then hike back down. That's pretty much my irregular workout. Heals body and mind at the same time. big grin

I think this shows that Marijuana users are not lazy we just have other ways to expand our body and muscles. From the hard body in the gym to the guy hiking the trail. we are not lazy just.... well i guess.... maybe just a little lazy. ... well maybe.... just me...

I am lazy, but I make it to the gym at least 2-5 times every two weeks. I run often when I do. I occasionally smoke before hand.

Sometimes I use smoking as my motivation to go to the gym. Sitting at home, I'll say ok, I am going to go smoke, grab a bite to eat, then go to the gym. Simply a behaviorists theory, Classical conditioning etc. If I associate doing something I love, with something that Sucks (but I still like it) It will be easier for me to do it.

It kills a good psychedelic buzz though. frown

yes it definatley kills the buzz. found if you have a suana in your gym hit that up for about ten minutes then go jogging. it is quite a rush... maybe not a safe one but yeah its a rush

I ate a little too much weed in weed scrambled eggs this afternoon and went for a run. I almost passed out lol.

I like to smoke before riding my bike and it has no effect on my endurance if I just smoke a little for mind motivation and muscle relaxing effects. Hiking too!

Smoking weed has not effected my rugby teams endurance at all. Not all the players smoked but the better ones that run alot more alot faster smoke pot.

One or two hits before a work out gives a nice buzz while working out and doesnt tire you out like if you smoked a whole joint.

Just an FYI my friend and i smoked before practice one day and he got his tooth knocked back and had to have a root canal. so you might want to save the weed till after sports practice.

lulz you need to work on your poasting.

First of all, you say that it helps not tire you out. Then you say don't do it because you'll get your tooth knocked out????

All of you are smoking primarily indicus strains. Or hybrid strains that are primarily indicus. Smoke more sativa. I LOVE working out when I'm high.

Indicus and Sativa, Its the difference between being "Stoned" and "High" Indicus always gives me that couch locked feeling. If you smoke some sativa strains, you get a nice euphoric and motivated high.

Sativa strains are pretty rare because the plants grow very tall (up to 20 feet tall!) and dont grow well indoors. Sativa is actually the main species, and indicus is the sub species. It's just since marijuana is illegal, its limited growing to indoors.

One day when I can afford a gym membership I'll be sure to let you all know how I feel about this.

I read an article in Cannabis Culture called Wrestling and Weed, with Rob Van Dam, and he has some very good points as to the advantages of smoking while working out, or even smoking before stretching.

I'd love to get a hold of some sativa strains, but out here anything decent is almost non-existant frown

in my younger days,I was really into stretching,and running wind sprints,was always blasted when I got the best work out......it would let me melt into the stretches,and hold them for much longer,and I wouldn't get bored with the wind sprints. cool

I like lifting weights when I'm high. I just feel like I can self-motivate myself more. I think with a lot of people, weed gives them the self-confidence to START working out.

I actually went to the gym tonight a few hours ago. The guy i went with said, the cool best thing about smoken and working out is to lifts wieghts it is mental. you have to be ready to lift and know that you can get 2 more reps in. he says when he smokes it takes that self doubt away, and he then he just lifts.
