Ok me and my buddys were driving around smoking a blunt about to go to the movies and all of sudden I see we get pulled over so I put out the half smoked blunt and just swallow it as fast as i could. The cop comes up to the car and say let me see your license and wheres the pot. We all didnt know what to say so he asks my friend who is driving to step out of the car. They take him into the cop car and question him and then they make me and my 2 other friends get out and search the car. They find nothing. The cop comes back and says the driver said we were smoking and that I ate the blunt, so they take me and my friend in one car and the 3 others in another car. So we get to the station and the cop that took me in was just going to let us go. We start walking out of the station and the other car with my other 3 friends rolls up and goes where do you guys think your going? The dick makes us come back in and call our parents. First of all I am 19 and say I dont need to call my parents im an adult and I made up some lie about my parents living in another state and he knew I was lying so he goes if you keep lying to me Im going to give you possession of marijuana-bodily. So eventually I call my dad to pick me up and I get let go with no charges. So basically my question is should I have just been free to walk and is there such thing as possession of marijuana-bodily?

goodmorning ajcut5, first yall should not have said anything about eating pot even if you smelled like pot. its not illegal to smell like pot. yall should have all said we have no pot. period. the only thing i can see that might have some legality is the fact that yall told the cop one guy ate the joint thats called destroying evadence. never tell a cop you just ate some pot. and i never heard of 'possession of marijuana bodly'. think its a scare tactic.
Jeez.. I can't believe your friends did you in like that.. You could've been fucked.. Isn't destruction of evidence a felony? Or at least a hard misdemeanor?
