Hi,
I take buprenorphine (Suboxone) and I am up for my private pilot medical check up. Is buprenorphine a prohibited drug? It is a schedule 3. I remember when I was on Xanax I couldn't flight so long as I didn't take the medication before flight. Is there a section on the FAA website that might help? Thnaks.

Welcome to the board!
I found this:
http://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/headquarters_offices/avs/offices/aam/ame/guide/pharm/sedatives/
It reads like Criminal Justice Code but sets the guidelines for the different classes of Airmen.
I could not find information specific to that drug and apparently they don't keep any sort of real database of prohibited or allowed medications.
I would get a note from my Doctor.
