This is a news story that I read today. I cannot believe the damage that is being done to our nation with the war on drugs. They practically brag about busting students that have one month to go before graduation. What is worse, the students smoking weed or the drop-outs (expelled) smoking weed? I mean I am all for getting the hard drugs off the street but not if it comes at the price of someones future. When I was this age everyone around me was trying hard drugs, most of them grew out of it and are very successful now. They could not have moved on to be successful if they were busted and had felony records. Get the people help not a jail cell, and for weed..... LEGALIZE IT!

To be fair they were dealing coke as well and they had guns(but who doesn't?)..

I can honestly say this doesn't surprise me.. All the dudes I knew in school that were in fraternities were into drugs and partying.

I'm really pissed about this, because with this new piece of legislature being introduced in congress by Barney Frank, this is going to be one huge bullet in the guns of the prohibitionists..

These jackasses make us all look bad.

The variety of the merchandise they were flipping is really being emphasized on cable news networks in a very (surprise!) sensationalist manner. "Cocaine(!), Ecstasy(!), prescription drugs(!).. And Marijuana(!).."

These guys were pretty stupid operating in such a conspicuous manner.. Shooting mass text messages and doing business with people they barely knew.. Obviously none of them had ever watched Barry's films.

Those arrested included a student who was about to receive a criminal justice degree and another who was to receive a master's degree in homeland security.

WTF is a Degree in "Homeland Security"!?!

I found these:

Sounds like a certification of proper "Homeland Indoctrination" to me. Confused

The only thing i notic ed was that marijuana was almost the last drug they said. ithey were dealing coke. that makes all people that use substances as being bad. i think the police did the right thing now we won't have homeland security members and other prominent poeple. in the drug game.

I think we all need to be paying attention to this. There's alot to be learned about the tactics being used.

Quote:
Students who had gotten caught for fighting, drinking, minor drug offenses or other crimes quickly turned informants and used text messages to introduce their drug dealers to undercover agents. Dealers made handoffs in front of dorms, in parking lots or behind frat houses, sometimes in broad daylight in full view of surveillance cameras.

i dont belive there were to many tactics used. some narcs and undercovers. but how stupid can you be to text cocaine prices to everyone on your phone. they need to pray to the never get busted videos. That is just plain ole no common sense.
