A litte over a month ago he was going to one of our roommates jobs to see if he could get dinner. He pulls up into the front of the store and is surrounded by narcodics, swat, and regular officers. (He drives a retired police vechical that still has the cage and in his loan it states "no alterations".) A k-9 unit shows up and right then the knew he was in trouble. (Me and him have an agreement that he can smoke as long as it is done and stored no where near me or the house. He smokes alot and to easy on the finances he buys larger quanties.) They made him get out and arrested him saying he was a police impersonater. They asked him if there was anything in the car and he told them where to find his stash. The police impersonater thing didn't bother him since it cannot be proved since the guy they were looking for was mexican and was caught days later. They found a scale, under a half pound, and 5-8 pils of x that a guy gave to him for a 40oz (they were ordered from high times mag.) So he is looking at a class 3 felony.
I wish it ended there but we're not that lucky.
After the took my husband to jail the had 2 officers stay with our roommate at work so he couldn't contact us and while he worked they questioned him about my husband. When they had got the clear to let him leave they asked how he and his co-worker were getting home. They found out he had a car and he let them search it. the found a used pipe and he got a ticket.
While that was happening there they arresting nercodics officers came to the condo where we are currently living with my husbands mom, her live in male friend, my brother-in-law (who is 17), and his friend(the one who is mentioned above). They asked to speak with mom (who at the time was on home arrest). I thought they were there for her so I let them in and she had me send them upstairs. They told her that her son had said that he had gotten some pills from her. (which he never said) They told her that he had be found in possion of a large quanty of pot and was in jail. She showed them all of her perscriptions and then they came down to talk to me. They told me about the weed and asked if I had knowledge of him selling and I said no. They ran my name and told me to sign a paper giving them consent to search the downstairs area (which is our living space) for drugs. I knew that there was nothing to worry about so I signed. The asked mom if they could search the rooms upstairs and she told them her son's room was up to him but never said anything about her room. Her stupid live in friend said " You can search her sons room and downstairs but not mom and his room. The made everyone go downstairs while the were upstairs. The first room the did was moms and his. The found A crack pipe some brillo 2-3 pot pipes and 2 bowls of weed. They arrested mom's live-in friend. Next was her sons room that he had gave them permission to search. He also admitted to smoking every now and again. The found a hooka and a glass pipe, both were never used and set out as display. He got a ticket for parifinia You get the idea). Next The came down stairs searched. They found 4 year old fireworks (we had forgot about) and a pair of brass knuckels. (My husband worked at the time at a liquor store for a 70 + yr old couple in a bad neighbor hood. If they weren't bing robbed then it was a drunk bum starting a fight because he was being refused alcohol.) We were told that the fireworks and knuckles were going to be distroyed and no one was going to be ticketed. Since mom was on house arrest and was in violation. After they leave we go back through the house since the so kindly trashed everything. We found they had put all the pipes back in there place in mom's room, left a few fireworks behind exactly where the others had been found and there was a bag that husband keep his weed in (that was in his car apon his arrest) found under my brother-in-laws bed. Eveything was thrown out because we knew something was wrong.
So now my husband and mom's live-in buddy get out. In mom's buddy's belongings is a ticket for the fireworks. When the get home I call The nercodics officer and ask if he husbands car is still on hold is avalible to be picked up. He said that they were almost done searching it and he'd call me back. he calls mom and asks if my husband and her buddy are there, she said yes and he informs her he's one his way to speak with them. He shows up and takes the ticket from mom's friend and hands one to my husband. So now my husband is introuble for fireworks. The officer tells both of them to give him a call if they would like to "talk" and he could help them with their cases.
I told both of them that their cases are no longer in his hands so "talking" would do them no go unless it's to the D.A.
My husband was being followed and pulled over for traffic things but was alwasy givin a warning. A few weeks ago we drove by a cop standing on the side of the street clocking people. The speed limit is 30 we were doing 32. We drove past him and kept going. Next thing we know we have a cop car squealing tires but no lights coming up 3 cars behind us. we turn and head down a street turn around in a culda-cac and park. Sure enough the cop slows down sees us and comes at us. he waits until is almost bumper to bumper to turn his lights on. He gets out walks up to the car and says that he clocked us at 43 in a 30. A nercodics van comes down the street and pulls up behind us. The officer hasn't even had a chance to run mu husbands tags or name yet and they are there. We both tell the officer that this is total bs and harassment. The officer now said that we were evading him when he tryed to stop us for speeding. he walks to his car , the van leaves and he comes back and gives us at ticket for speeding and evading. We go to leave and a nothe cop car with a officer wearing a ski mask on his head ready to be pulled down drives by.
Now the court stuff begins... He husband is approved for a public pretender. We go to court for the fireworks and have to pay $290. His brother and his friend (guy at the begining) go to court. his brother is going to fight the ticket. while his friend who has pryers on his record shows up the court doesn't have his record on hand (they were still back in the records room) The judge is a stand in and says that his record is clean. The judge said " I see that you were found riding in the car with (my husband) who was impersonating an officer and found with Meth in his posession." The judge brought up my husbands name repeatly. our friend said that he was not in the car but the judge acted like he heard nothing and kept slandering my husbands name. My husband should have absolutly nothing to do with his ticket since he was already in jail when our friend was issued his ticket. (Are getting the notes of the court hearing for our records) Our friend got a fine of $45 (the minimum is $100) and has to take a class (that he has already done 2). My husband is still awaiting his next court date and I'll keep you posted.

I just thought I'd post an update. He's taking it to trial because in the first page of the police report (made by the officer that pulled him over) she said that she pulled him over bacause she noticed he had facial hair. At the time the cops were looking for a police impersonator with facial hair. Come to find out our room mate (who no longer lives with us) did set him up. He called my man and asked if he could come by ofter work. He had the police waiting behind the building and the office who pulled him over in the parking lot screwed up the whole set up since she got to him first. The DA seems unhappy that it's going to trial because of all the things that don't add up in the report. I've read it and it has too many flaws and the DA knows it.
Also thanks for the people who defended my spelling errors and being so understanding of my emotional state. |
