| One of the main things that caught my eye was his law enforcement background. And the fact that he quoted President Carter caught my attention. A buddy of mine actually had the DVD in his collection and I watched it at his house. |

Barry having a background in law enforcement does add some legitimacy to the cause. At least in so far as Joe Public is concerned.
The "Carter" quote got me too.

| Short sweet and to the point. The drug war is clearly a propaganda machine created by our government to justify the fleecing of the American tax payer for billions. Under the Clinton Admin it seems like we spent more money trying to educate the public. Under the Bush Admin we just built more jails. Assets forfeiter laws in my opinion are a joke they clearly favor the police and government. They need to be changed. |

I couldn't agree more. Google "Corrections Corporation of America". By far the biggest private benefactor of the Drug War.
Assets forfeitures in some cases directly fund Law Enforcement Agencies. I find this to be a conflict of interest at the very least. And at worst, the rape of our citizenry.  Double Jeopardy falls in there too. |
