Wouldn't recommend trying that. Police dogs are considered police officers. Really good way to be charged with obstruction, or assault. However it worked out the situation would likely be escalated, using this would be considered a hostile act.

I wonder if it would cause a dog to jerk back like Barry describes. That wouldnt be good.
OTOH, it might be worth investigating. Anyone with hunting dogs or dogs in general who has used ultrasonic pest repellents feel free to chime in.
