Wouldn't recommend trying that. Police dogs are considered police officers. Really good way to be charged with obstruction, or assault. However it worked out the situation would likely be escalated, using this would be considered a hostile act.  |

I wonder if it would cause a dog to jerk back like Barry describes. That wouldnt be good.
OTOH, it might be worth investigating. Anyone with hunting dogs or dogs in general who has used ultrasonic pest repellents feel free to chime in.  |

| nice, thats what im talking about, if you cant hide the smell... then fuk it keep em away from it...maybe if you were able to stash the dazer in the car and had something from inside the car to turn it on and off, if the little fuker tries to get too close to your stash turn the fuker on and i dont think hell jerk bak maybe just try and walk faster to get away from it or maybe two cars one with the device in front and the other with the bud right behind in back and as soon the the dog gets close to the car with the dazer like right next to it ... turn it on and the dog will either confuse the handler, or go faster to avoid that sound going right past the car with the stash, like i said the dog dont see it as a job but a game and who wants to keep playng in an area if they are uncomfortable? right?....some one test this man and take note of the dogs reaction when the device goes on right next to them, and a couple feet in front of them see if theyll keep walking towards it or if they stop dead in their tracks, or if they keep walking just faster to get away, have them walk towards something like a bowl of chicken or something theyll like...see if they just ignore it to get to the chicken or dont care about the chicken and just try to get away some f.b this is interesting |

I'm wondering if you turned it on when you were pulled over, before you even got searched, would that help? If the dog started acting funny as soon as he got out of the vehicle it might make the handler think that the dog smelled prey or something...

| I saw on a dog handler forum where handlers were complaining about the dog not wanting to "work" or leave the vehicle. |
