Common sense right , Guess what, You know how many idiots I've known over the years who smoke in the car ? FACT the majority of Weed arrests happen during routine traffic stops .
The cop either smells it, sees a baggy in your lap , or on the floor, Or a roach in the ashtray , OR the driver has paraphnalia , I.E Scales , roach clip in the ashtray High times magazine in the front or back seat Yea i know a magazine should not cause a cop to search, You know that, and i know that but guess what RED FLAG .
So here is some very common sense tips to follow
1.Don't smoke in car
2.No contraband in plain sight
3.Don't have Paraphnalia in plain view
4.Obey the speed limit
5.wear your seat belt
6.Make sure you use turn signals (for turns and lane changes)
7.For God sake make sure all of your lights work on your vehical
8. Do not drive with a cracked wind shield (or broke light lens cap)
9.Tinted windows is a NO NO , looks good I agree , tinted window laws vary from state to state , But even if your state allows certain tint grades , Under home rule / city ordances various towns may have there own laws and may pull you over because of that.
7. make complete stops (not rolling stops)
8. Make sure your muffler is not dragging , hanging, or making noise because of a hole.
Everything i've mentioned is basic common sense But idiots get Arrested every day by giving police probable cause to pull them over for above said reasons.
Don't make it easy for cops to bust you  |

The're not idiots, The're humans. This site smells like a cover site for something.. I cant put my finger on it just yet.
Lets do everything you say and answer this.
How are you getting the MJ to your house?
Are you smoking it in your house? If so, When?
What times?
What if the mailman smells it?
UPS?
FEDEX?
Random meter reader person?
Neighbor walking their stupid dog?
Are you growing it?
Inside Hydro?
Outside where they can do a flyby?
What about agents screening the power company records for and unusual spikes in electricity use and they decide to "take a closer look at you"
If your growing inside are you sure your not leaving any celephane, timers, power cords from view in case the village idiot stumbles upon your secret?
what about kids?
Empty plant containers lying around?
Whats in your trash?
Do you double bag it?
Is there anything that might alert your local trash man to bust you?
Plastic/Tarp/High Times magazines material in your trash?
Empty boxes when you bought the lights, timers, and "Miracle Grow"???
Are you a landscaper but there's no plants in your yard?
Will that create suspicion?
Can you smell the MJ when it's "Harvest Time" outside your garage door or in the house?
More importantly, What if they bring a canine around, Can your home pass the "Smell Test"??
So tell me how well YOU blend in sir.
This site just ads to the paranoia and I question it's motives. |

Most potheads already obey the laws everyone else does and flout the same ones too. (speeding, jaywalking, etc.)
Speaking for myself, the only real "criminal" thing i do is toke. I don't sell or grow only because I fear losing my family and life. The odds of doing hard time for what i consume are pretty small. I dont harm anyone and pot harms me arguably less than the refined sugar, caffeine, MSG, Nicotine, and oh yes Alcohol that we are told is OK. We see what that does to people. |

Alcohol is a pretty terrible thing.
Especially if youths consume. It causes brain damage in children, parents dont let your kids drink till its legal for them atleast. |

| I do smoke in my car, I for as far as I can remember have. I don't drive around smoking, with an ounce sitting next to me or anything like that. I roll a j in the morning and take it to work with me, when I get out a smoke on the way home. It's only a 10 minute drive, so I'm not to worried and if I do get pulled over I can eat a single joint fairly fast. As for the smell, I like to keep the windows down. That and even if I got pulled and they smelled it, the car is clean, I make sure no evidence is left behind. |

I used to, but our car is subject to search and the parking garages are sniffed with dogs randomly at my significant others' workplace.
I quit taking that chance after watching "Never Get Busted". |

I smoke in my car. It's awesome. Bone cruising with a couple bowl packs with some good music, and good friends. Or maybe a fishbowl. My car already smells like... bad, which overpowers the weed smell. (unless I fishbowl) All in all though, good times.
I make sure I wear my glasses.

| Man, if you take A doobie. then you groovy... learned that from my mom when i was we little she said it after she had to much to drink one night. stuck with me since. get a good dopeman to drop it off. maybe not even a dopeman just a real good middleman someone that does not tax on small amounts. At least this all sounded good in my head when i typed it all. |

To do so would be foolish.
You can smoke marijuana BEFORE YOU LEAVE, or even better, after YOU'VE ARRIVED at your destination.
First of all if the police find a pipe AND marijuana ANYWHERE in your car except the TRUNK, they will report that you were "smoking while driving."(They MIGHT lie anyway, and move it into the vehicle in order to strengthen the case.)
Driving while TOO impaired is dangerous, and selfish. You could fall asleep and kill someone.
Second, it isn't illegal to SMELL like marijuana. As long as you have nothing in the car, you're golden.
If you want to carry cannabis I suggest carrying an amount small enough to eat immediately upon being pulled over. If you move large amounts, make a false compartment under your hood. Empty your windshield-wiper liquid holder and water-paint it light blue, and hide the marijuana in there, under the hood. A quick glance at your engine will look legit.
To smoke WHILE driving is INVITING trouble. |

I suppose it depends on where you reside, situation, circumstances, etc... Most of my encounters with police (750,000 miles plus on the road) were with me being stoned, and having recently smoked in the vehicle. If you can control odor + what the officer can visibly detect you are traveling worry free.
I've done the majority of my long drives in a commercial vehicle, therefore subject to stricter search and seizure laws (fewer rights) that the average motorist. If you don't look or act the part, people will often never assume that you're a stoner.
I smoke from the time I wake until the time I sleep, whenever I meet new people they assume I am not a stoner by the way I carry myself... until they see me bust out some good stuff and pass it around. It's all about haw you carry yourself. |
