| Quote: | TAMPA, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol says anyone missing two big bags of pot can call their Tampa area office. A crew picking up litter from along Interstate 4 near Tuesday morning made an unusual find: two big plastic garbage bags stuffed with freshly harvested marijuana.
FHP Trooper Larry Coggins says the 60 pounds of pot might be worth around $54,000 on the street. It probably fell off or was thrown from a car on the interstate.
The plants appeared freshly picked and some had intact roots.
Coggins says it's not the largest amount of pot ever dumped along a roadside, but it's certainly not a common find. |
If they had found 60#s of fresh bud that breaks down to about 30# of cured bud or $100 an oz (quite realistic at single oz prices)
But they got trash bags of fresh plants, with roots. But to come up with $54,000?
Just a refresher: 60# of all female whole plants might be 12# of wet bud or 6# of consumable bud. That works out to 1/4oz bags of outdoor dirt weed for $140 each or $560 an oz? LawL
They should be embarrassed, but they keep publishing this BS it's all that 95% of society ever hears.
Anyhow, aside from my opinion, Why do they do this, I can't be the only person who has caught on to the falsification or over inflation of a seizures value. |

| I've noticed the same thing around here. All I have ever figured was that it help inflate their books which in turn helped with fed funding. Plus if they caught someone with the dope then a higher price might mean a stiffer sentence?? Just a thought. |

This begs the question: how many cops have ever personally dealt with dope?
You gotta hope not too many, right?

Inflating the worth of narcotics seized has always been drastic and unfair. This is done to get the numbers up for statistics which "proves" government seizure programs are "working." And if programs are "working," more money will be funded to continue even though the funding was based on false data.
It's all bull%$^&!!!!
