Search & Seizure At your Residence
1. Is an anonymous tip enough for police to obtain a search warrant or a no knock search warrant to your house simply by word mouth?
2. And When police or any other law enforcement agency search or raid your home ..will a K-9 unit be present or can they call the dogs in if they can't find anything?
do police clean up after they destroy your house and don't find anything... LOL
Police Search & weapons Pat down on the street
1. Is an anonymous tip enough for police to search you or even pat you down on the street with out consent?
2. If they don't find anything on your person can they call a Canine unit in and to walk around you the same way they would walk the dog around the exterior of the car during a traffic stop

NO! An undercover officer or credible informant has to see drugs in your home or purchase drugs from your home to trigger a search warrant.

Police usually bring the K-9 at the time of the warrant but can call for one later if needed.

No. They leave your house trashed.

An anonymous tip is enough for an officer to approach and begin explaining the anon. tip. During his interview, he must make a mental list of explainable (articulable) reasons why he is remaining suspicious other than the tip. If he cannot do this, he must allow you to leave (free to leave). During this same interview, if he can explain why he feels unsafe, he is allowed to pat down the outer clothing for his safety but may not reach into a pocket for a complete search. If the officer feels something that resembles a weapon, he may then enter the pocket or waistband or sock or whatever to retrieve the alleged weapon.
Cops use this series of laws to illegally search and arrest. Here is how they do it: the officer can claim an anonymous tip, claim you are nervous, claim you're in a bad neighborhood, claim his safety is compromised which triggers a pat down. During the pat down he can claim he felt a knife and reach into your pocket and pull out a bag of weed. Later in his report, the mental notes of "I thought I felt a knife" are not listed in the report and the officer claims he got an anonymous tip, approached you, smelled the odor of marijuana (which is probable cause for a thorough body search) and found the marijuana in your pocket during the probable cause search. The cop gets an illegal bust but it is impossible to prove he violated the 4th Amendment.

Your expectation of privacy for a K-9 free air sniff around your auto is less than the expectation of privacy for a K-9 to sniff your person. Said another way, people are more offended if a k-9 sniffs their person than their auto. For this reason, only airport dogs and some border dogs are trained to sniff persons. K-9 teams working the highways and search warrants ARE NOT TRAINED TO SNIFF PERSONS!!! You can walk by one of these dogs with a pound of sticky and the K-9 will not alert. So on the street, no worries about k-9 sniffing drugs on your person. In an airport or walking across a border, beware!
