barry,
I found your website tonight and have scoured it pretty much from top to bottom. I wanted to know what you think about government and "the war on terror".
"Gang",
A bunch of people on these forums rant about how crooked LEO's are and i do the same. But instead of sitting back and talking shit about it why not do something. I am fixing to become an officer (hopefully) because i want to do something and change the stigma that all cops are bad. I have a few cop friends and from the things they say i know things are starting to get back on track. I hate when my generation gripes about "oh stupid cops blah blah blah" and yet they do nothing. If you really want to make a change become a officer or work in or around the law enforcement agencies.

Hold on. If I dislike how cops behave I have to become a cop? Good luck, Serpico. |

But you did say that. You might not have meant it like that but you did say it. Here is what you said:

Frost,
We need everybody doing different things to end the unjust war on drugs. Your thing might be to become a cop and tear down conventional wisdom in your department. One person might write a letter to a congressman. Another might post great arguments on this board for all to read. I'm doing the Never Get Busted Project. Another might donate money to NORML. All these are great and admirable but do not apply to all people. Lighten up a bit dude. This post does not sound like you anyway.

They are not getting back on track but I believe they will be soon. 750,000 people jailed per year for marijuana is nowhere close to getting back on track. If your cop friends still believe in the War on Drugs, they are not your friends.

| I currently have a close friend in the police work well right now shes a white collar and i have noticed how being in the jail house has somewhat corrupted her mind and i find what barry talks about in his dvd about cops getting adrenaline rushes from what ever they do. She sits there every day hoping for fights just so they can ruff house inmates thus i would see the same effect from a cop who sits in his car all day. |
