I support what Barry is doing, but why is he the only one? I am well aware of (and a member) of LEAP, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (ask Barry about their "endorsement"), but they receive only a fraction of the publicity and monetary support that Barry receives. I suspect the answer lies in Barry's radical tactics, but why hasn't any current or former LEO joined his NGB team? Barry, have you received or solicited for any offers of help from fellow officers?

Probably because I have not solicited officers to join the NGB team but think it is a great idea!

I have received at least 100 emails from cops supporting the cause. I need to start a program for them to join!

| As I said in other posts I dont see how they can take anything on here as bad? It's a catch 22. He's showing us all these ways he busted people and it would make me rethink(if I was a dealer)dealing MJ like that. Does barry actually smoke? |

I think that is a TERRIFIC idea to encourage more police officers to come on board your organization. Even if they are retired or remain anonymous when they communicate to the media.
Retired officer Jack McLamb, in very poor health now, had or has an organization for police officers who were well versed in the Constitution - and how police departments violate it. There is a "2nd Amendment P.D."yahoo group of officers who support gun rights. There are probably other similar examples.
PLEASE -- Set up a division of Never Get Busted for police officers. Lay down a syllabus of materials (audio, videos, reference materials and statistics) for them to study so they can become really informed and articulate on the issue. Please leave this open for civilians to study too - everybody could be more articulate and compelling in the debate.
Even if a police officer communicates anonymously - say in a call to talk radio (or as a guest) or in an email to a newspaper - this carries a lot of clout with the public and the media types too. Retired cops or guys who have just walked away could declare themselves openly.
Just as the public - non drug using people too - are sick of the failed, freedom-stealing war on drugs, I think a significant percentage of cops are sick of it too. Imagine if every time you in the media, you invited police officers specifically to come on board, what kind of media buzz that would cause. I bet you would have hundreds or thousands of cops joining you at one level or another.

I cannot wait to have everything in place needed. I am sad that we don't have a way for cops or civilians to join the NeverGetBusted Project yet. Actually, the people on this board are the first to join in supporting the project...it is just not formal.
I'm using what time I have the best I can to put everything in place. Can you believe our company is less than one year old?
I promise to have something in place for cops to join and citizens to join by the end of the year. I'm not just saying this because it is the "proper" thing to say but...thanks for all the great ideas!!!

| I hope other LE Officers are reading this. Most Officers wouldn't consider working with this scumbag Barry Cooper. Most LE Officers have integrity and want to help society against illegal drug users and sellers. Disagree with that! |

Then explain LEAP, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition. They aren't working with Barry, but they are working toward the same goal, the end of MJ prohibition. There are thousands of members and supporters, most are current or former LEO's. |

You posted this like you laid out an argument that included facts and evidence for us to rebut. All you did was make statements that cannot be proved. We currently have two people running for President of the United States, Senator Ron Paul and Governor Richardson, who agree with us that the War on Drugs is unconstitutional and a failure. Are they "scumbags?"
Again, the criminal side effects of having illegal drugs causes more harm on families then the side effects of the drug itself. We already have laws in place to protect us and our children (burglary, robbery, rape, murder etc.) Ending prohibition will cause the millions of non-violent drug users to remain with their families while violent drunks or druggies still go to jail for harming persons or property.
Please do more research and then post your arguments. Go visit LEAP's website and learn from your own peers if you won't believe us. Your attitude of "my way or the highway" is embarrassing to law enforcement and is one of the biggest reasons citizens hate cops. And by-the-way...why don't you email: barry@nevergetbusted.com and let's meet about your personal attacks on me. One advantage I have over most good American citizens is I am not intimidated by abusive police such as yourself! I never attack until attacked first. Bring it.
