Do not talk to the cops to show them how sober you are!
I can't count the number of times I've seen stoners in Denny's at midnight, trying to BS with cops. I've had friends who wanted to do this, when I asked why, I was told that if they talk to the cops they won't think they're high. I said you're right, they won't THINK, they'll KNOW!
I was standing in line behind a couple of cops in a 7-11 a while back, this guy walks in, obviously higher than giraffe pussy. He looks at the cops and says "good evening officers, how you guys doing?".
When he walked off one officer looks at the other and says, "Why do stoners always want to talk to us?" the other cop responded "No shit! You'll never see a drunk do that."
Fortunatly for that young gentleman, they sat in the parking lot watched him get in his buddy's car and leave, kinda shook they're head and went the opposite direction.
It's pretty simple, if you see 20 other people walk by a cop without acknowledging him, be the 21st.
Anything that makes an officer notice you, gives him reason to look for other clues. If you're high or nervous, more often that not those clues are present. The key is to blend in.

And if you have nothing to worry about and are not around anybody that should have anything to worry about, then it's always fun to waste their efforts by being unusually nice to them  |
