Anyone on this board use cameras for home security ? I have a small surveilance camera set up , Nothing fancy or expensive .
They are great to have , and you can buy them at prices for every budget .
TIP -- Don't use Wireless cameras , wireless Frequencies can be picked up with a remote wireles monitor / scanner , You don't want your neighbors getting an eye full 
Tip-- Don't have cameras video taping anything that you don't want to come back and haunt you in a court of Law at a later date 
Picture this scenario ,Lets just say you had Cameras recording activities in your premises, And the camera records some activities you may not want anyone to see , You are married or you have a girlfriend and your relationship goes on the rocks, I will almost guarantee Those tapes will end up in the hands of law enforcement , Or a divorce attorney .

ebay has great deals on home security devices and systems. You can by a really cheap nightvision/infrared camera system with computer capture card for dirt cheap! I also stocked up on gas canisters for my gas mask(I go to lots of protests, permits or no). Night vision goggles, kevlar vests, eavesdropping scramblers, RF detectors, driveway alert, metal detectors all for dirt cheap most all that stuff listed you can find for under a bill!
Also check out X10 home automation products(they have a site but better deals searching around on ebay) With a little planning, money, and a saturday after noon you can turn your home into an automated house.
Why I'm on subject try google image search ADT or Brinks I'm not gonna say what you can do with what you find but think on it for a sec and use your imagination. Hint: Sticker paper |

I'm wondering If you can get some kind of set up for your vehicle like the cops got but posibily more portiable if you get stopped. or if you could (legaly) use it during a trafic stop? would help or hinder you in the long run?  |

Yeah I have 1 that sees for 50 meters in the dark up my backyard!Cost me $161 with 150' of cable run that I didnt need but 50 of.This camera come from eBay,so I can hook you up with the man that has the plan on night vision and its a 8mm lens color by day,very nice.This man is highly reliable,fast shipper,and will fix you up with your needs,just ask and he will reply.
This camera really tells you who's there even deer to coons or cats in black/white,but clear for at least 100 plus feet(maybe 115-125'),then its guessy!Now I ave just never measured the total distance,lets just say my backyard is factually over 150'Deep(around 250'Deep x 70'to 125'Wide).I have over an acre to mow when I do mow,front/back with front small,like 55'Deep by 90'Wide.I see most all of the back with this camera.
Now with a monitor you could run 2 of these and 2 cheapies for 4 on 1 monitor.Switching device I have no idea of what a person would use,but I would say that 1 could be used.It pays for its self and you have some home security as well against thieves and breaking/entering.
I have some wireless alert alarms as well that reach upto 100' and they are excellent,so invest in some.If you dont know where to get these goto sportsmansguide.com and they have them there,battery life is very good on these for 4 aa's used in the remote senders.
Now I have been bitten 3 X's and nope not fun at all with law lieing to the grand jury(thats to come later and I do have proof).From Trafficking to cultivation,still cultivate and sell only to who I know and no 1 else!!
I have had people come up and mention names,I just wipe them off and play along with never doing any kind of sale or info as to who or where.Dont ever give anyone unless its a RAT you know for sure on,then give them that name and tell them they can get what they need there from hear-say or another RAT!!That 1 I have done and love doing it,burns them up,especially when you give them the local DEA thats crooked as hell!!I know 3 of the  law enforcement that are crooked,plus real good friends  with the Circuit Clerk since we grewup together selling to him.
Dont hurt to know afew people in high places as well as low 1s  !!Just keep your cool and your mouth shut,unless you tell them misleading info like I did on my 1st busting !!ROTFLMFAO...HEHE.........
I am use to Forums,PMs,and whatever goes with them,been on them for 6 plus years now,so feel free if I can help.I will try and answer as much as possible for you to help Barry.I have been there/done that so to speak and love the DVD he has,plus his work of getting info across to us....
