How much evidence is needed for police to legally obtain a search warrant on grow houses?

If someone says, hey, there's marijuana growing in that house! is that enough for them to kick the door in?

Is there anything on the web that has a checklist of evidence items cops need to collect to obtain a search warrant?

Not usually, but they may pull your trash looking for anything that will get them a warrant. Or pull someone over leaving the house and pressure them to turn informant. The list goes on.
