I used to live in a....."deteriorating" neighborhood with my sis and her fiance. Our next door neighbor was a dealer for nothing more than the bestest plant in the whole wide world. **eyes glisten** Anyway word around the area was that their house was being watched and would be raided soon, so my roomies and I were always very careful about our habbits once we learned that. Well, one night.... way late/early about 3am we decided that it was gonna be ok for us to smoke out on the back patio. We were all out on the back porch....and I got a very weird feeling and followed my gut and just passed on smoking and went to my room to play around on the net. My sis and her fiance stayed out on the porch smoking and about 5 mins after I had walked in the house..... They come running into the house and he is eating everything he can. SWAT was right over the next fence sneaking around the back of our neighbors house, cutting power and all of that. While they were trying to explain to me what was going on lights started flashing and there were 3 cruisers right out side our front door and you can hear the neighbors mom just screaming at the top of her lungs....she was the only one home and happend to just be visiting her boys for the weekend.
That was a close call..... and very traumatic and sad for our neighbor's family. |

I was 21 at the time...they were 18 and 20....man It was crazy. We were so very lucky....the cops did not come over to our house. It was really scary for my sis's fiance....he used to live with a couple of big time dealers and their place was raided for a whole lot more than just pot...and he was the only one home at the time it happend.
Yeah I live in Vegas now....funny you should mention Texas.... I just moved out here to Vegas from the Austin area. I definitely plan on moving back to Austin some day...that place is the coolest place....everyone is so chill even the cops are a little less on edge there. At least they are in Travis County (where the city of Austin is)....but man just 15 miles north of Austin is Williamson County and the cops there tend to be ass holes even if you are polite and really aren't doing anything illegal. WilCo is VERY tough on recreational users....
Any who I am rambling..... Are you from TX? Are you from the Austin Area? lol if so we probably know each other through "small world we know the same people" kinda thing. |

Yes....I would definitely say Austin is very different from everywhere else in Texas. Austin is Awesome.....I don't like Houston or Dallas. San Antone is a neat place too....but my heart belongs in Austin ^_^.
Put simply...Austin is the Liberal Mecca of Texas ^_^ |

I learned something new today, thanks! I wasnt aware that there was anything like a Liberal Mecca in Texas. I just thought the whole of Texas was six-gunning it for potheads. |
