Is that even plausible? I know husband and wife can't be forced to testify against each other. At least I think that still holds true.
I doubt that a mutual contractual agreement between a buyer and seller, of nondisclosure, would negate criminal prosecution. May open a path for civil litigation against a co-defendant or co-conspirator if they violate the "No Snitch" contract.
Then again, if damages were awarded for said violations of contract, snitching might lose incentive, and further clog courts with frivolity.
I don't think this will work simply because the government will spend untold BILLIONS to defend a position it knows is wrong. That's why normal legal approaches to decriminalization and legalization have had slow at best progress. |

Have never grown pot myself but this might be a safe alternative to buying from new contacts. The less people that know your business = the fewer that can tell your business.

Here is what I learned in law class regarding contracts requiring that someone *not break the law* - they are unenforceable. For example: you cannot sign an enforceable agreement with a local gang where they promise to not vandalize your property. However, you could sign an agreement for their "protection" in return for a nominal amount ($1 would probably meet "consideration" requirement in contract law).
You could possibly sue for additional damages (over and above other compensation).
Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer, and you should talk to one before doing anything with my advice. |
