| Is there any way to get away with taking weed with you on an airplane? what are the risks? what if it is on the person as opposed to in a bag? |

Not a good idea, not a good idea at all. Trying to smuggle even a small amount through an airport would be a very bad idea. With 9/11 and all the terrorist crap going on now, just about every airport has at least one dog. Your chances of getting physically searched are also high.
Your best bet would be to ship the cannabis. |

| Your best bet would be to sell the weed. Keep the money,and buy bud wherever you are going to be. Much safer than trying to transport it. |

I have carried weed on domestic flights several times.
Always a small amount, in a plastic baggie. Stashed in my underwear. Never had a problem. Even when I flew one way and was flagged for a supplemental search.
DO NOT try to carry any bowls, bongs, or one hitters though. The metal (yes even a brass screen) will set off the metal detector. Even a staple in a pack of papers will cause it to beep.
Do not hide it in your shoes, TSA requires you to remove shoes and run them through the x-ray machine.
Make double certain that you have absolutely nothing on your person that will set off the metal detector when you pass through. |

never carry pot on or into a airport, unless you have a need to go to jail. airports have dogs walking on top of your luggage sniffing and walking right next to you and sniff your crouch if he wanted to. i have traveled around the world and have a medical implant so i set off airport alarms and then i have to show my id card and then get searched from head to toe. good luck if anyone tries you will need it.

well if its your bag its your pot and still cought. i dont think anyone will try to carry it in there bag for you. sorry its just not worth it.

| I recently carried a pipe with me on an international flight..I just disassembled it and placed some parts of it in my carryon and some parts in my checked luggage. I put the metal parts in my case with my camera, and didn't have any problems. |

mj3341 thats is a good idea for a brand new pipe. the only problem someone would have doing that is if the pipe was used to smoke pot or hash it would be full of resin/ THC resin. a dog would pick it up ASAP, so clean it very well or purchase a new one and throw 'like i did' the old one in the trash before you get to the airport.

I agree that purchasing pot at your destination is safer but for those who don't mind trying: a small amount in the private area works really well. If a dog does alert, it is likely only your bags and pockets will be checked.
I've never heard of a person being completely strip searched at an airport unless they were already busted.
Airports are more concerned with bombs than a little bit of pot.

I would stash my small amount of weed(no metal pipe) in a twinkie, you know slice the bag open and stuff some weed in,tape it up carefully and put it back with the other twinkies  .Then if the dog alerts, the handler thinks its hungry :)The best part tho is you get to eat the TWINKIES when you get where your going@!
Of course if there are cops profiling people, you having twinkies automaticly makes you a Pot head (RED FLAG) lol |

| I recently made a not-so-smart decision to buy weed in Vegas when I was drunk on my last night there. Since there was no way I could smoke it in the half-day before my flight, and since I was too cheap to throw away that expensive stuff they sell out there...I decided to get it on the plane. I didn't have the luxury of visiting a site like this to see what the rest of you have done, so I put it in a small sealed baggie in the bottom of a vitamin container, filled it with every pill I could find, then crammed some Zyrtec single aluminum/plastic pill packages on top. By this point, it would either take some extremely small fingers to pull the Zyrtec off the top, or it would take cutting into the bottle. After this I sprayed about 10 sprays of cologne into the bottle, sealed it up, and placed it in the middle of my checked bag along with every other pill bottle/eye drops/contact solution bottle I could find. Went off without a hitch, but I was scared to death the entire flight home. I will probably never risk it again, but if any of you are like me and don't like the idea of having the weed on your actual body going through security (I know it doesn't make much of a difference legally, but I just felt better knowing that they wouldn't find it in my pocket)...this method seems to be rather foolproof to me. The chances of them going through your bag, and then subsequently going thru the effort to open every single bottle or container within the bag..seemed low enough for me to have some level of confidence that it would work, and it did. |

| VeeIsDope is an idiot. Duct tape has metal in it, hence why you don't use duct tape for sealing wire shielding, etc. |
