I'm writing the story of a friend of mine's encounter with the police. I think the police are different here in England compared to the US.
He was walking through a park at night with around 20 beers in his bag and a brand new £50 Space Case grinder with around 2g of Cannabis inside. The beer and grinder were in different pockets of his bag. Naturally he was cautious when carrying this.
He saw flash lights ahead as he was walking but he carried on, then he realised it was the police. He got nervous and ran away, only to be chased by a couple of officers. He jumped over a fence and ran down an alley way where there was a police man waiting at the end. The police man grabbed him and he gave up. They searched his bag and found the beers, but didn't search the front pocket which had the grinder and the Cannabis inside. They asked him why he ran and they gave him a telling off and said he is not allowed back in the area for 2 weeks.
Another friend was in a group of people and they were all searched. One of the people in the group had a grinder filled with Cannabis. It was in his pocket and the police man took the grinder out and just put it down with the rest of his things. He was either purposely ignoring it or just didn't see it, but apparently everyone was clean and free to go!
More than once a friend with a large afro has saved people I know. Just put anything illegal in the afro and the police around these parts don't seem to search, although I wouldn't guarantee it.
Just a couple of close encounters from people I know. |

| I might be able to pull off the white boy fro, but I don't think I really want to. I am pretty sure it never made its way back in style, no matter how many times Will Ferrell tries to bring it back (did you see his Super Bowl Bud Light commercial?) |

| Well thats easy, don't run from the cops especially if they're not even paying much attention to you in the first place, that is suspicious as it can get. Everyone knows the law and if you get caught you get caught. That guy really needs to learn to chill out, having pot isn't a major crime and if you know you're not doing something heinous then don't act like it. He could have easily just walked past them, maybe they would have asked what was in the bag and thats all it would have been, running makes them nervous for good reason. Cops are there to protect, do not ever forget that. |

Many moons ago, friends and I toked at a public park regularly in plain sight. Never a problem. we put it out and kept playing hacky-sack or whatever. No problems.
One day a friend (Not a snitch just paranoid) suggests we go to the dugout at the baseball field at the back of the park. Cops spot us like eagles and take our dope. More obvious was least obvious and least obvious was more so.
We even saw the cops parked around the corner two streets down after we left. I cant say for sure, but it looked like the driver was rolling! It was our dope for sure in his hands. Wasnt even ten minutes prior. He even watched us walk across the street and smiled at us.
We smoked pot as if we were smoking cigs after that. From half a block away you cant tell the difference unless you hold it and toke it like a joint. |

| You guys hit on something I've been saying here all along. If you know in your heart smoking pot isn't harmful, the laws are. Then playing the law abiding citizen routine with a cop is easy. I don't harm people or profit from harming people, so why should I feel like a criminal around anyone? |
