YES. I just completed my stealth grow box and it looks great! I built it out of a computer shell I had laying around and 2 compact fluorescent bulbs. I outfitted the whole interior with a semi-hard white plastic for reflectivity, and 2 computer fans I rewired to work on a DC connector. I figure, I'm growing for my personal consumption so I'll go smaller and stealthier. I'm hoping my three prized plants will do okay in there. I remember searching on the net for "stealth growing" and found an image of a computer grow box for 650 bucks. "Screw that," I thought, "I'll just build my own!" Took me 1 hour. ^.^ I'll tell you how it grows.

| If you force flower early, and keep the plant stunted, it will be a little bush with big buds. |

Having limited height, you should either do a SOG or a SCROG.
How many watts are your CFL's pushing out? Vegging can be done for a few plants off of 65 watts but you're ganna need more juice for flowering stage.
google SCROG / SOG to get more information on them
btw, post pics! |

The CFLs are daylight compact spirals, equivalent to 100 watts. I think they only use 27 actual watts for power. I'm relatively new to CFL as a light source, but the plants have been growing really well so far (luck?). Yeah, I'm currently using the bonsai method of "topping" every second series of chutes that grow. This way, the blokes will grow outwards instead of upwards. I'll let you guys in on it later. Pics to come!

| The best stealth grow I have seen,,Im sure there are better ones out there,,was a 61 inch bigscreen hollowed out,,find one that doesnt work get it cheap,,take the back panel off and gut it,,its about four feet tall, plenty of width, you can make shelves for it,,ohh works great when its rigged out,,just set it wherever,(bedroom),,nobody ever questions a non-working bigscreen. |

Those bulbs that say "equivalent to 100 watts" I think are actually only putting out the same lumen's as their actual wattage. Just some food for thought.
How is it trapping the light? Is is completely light-proof? |
