Heavy smoking in an auto causes the entire vehicle to smell like a giant joint to a K-9. Light smoking might and might not alert a k-9 depending on the latest smoking event. I would certainly be worried if I smoked anything in my auto until I thoroughly shampooed the interior. Professional auto detailers are usually the best.
It's a better idea to get your car clean and pull over to smoke.
