With all due respect......one will never find a larger resource for security matters than IC.
(FLIR, for example is a years old topic covered, and covered, and covered again.....and it's use, and role it plays and when and where it is exercised is also covered...)
This is the least of ones worries in all actuality.

Actually, there are many senior IC members here available for people's questions.
One would be advised to spend some time reading and researching though..(before posting)....
I would also consider IC to be the single greatest resource on the planet at this time....(numbers, members,etc...)..Global membership and each forum holds a collection of some of the most knowledgeable and talented professionals one will even encounter..... |

It may have been posted there and I hadn't read it, but I had not seen Barry's method of venting the heat back into your house into other rooms, dispersing it. Most methods to me seem either to vent it out of the house or get rid of the heat in other more costly ways. A quick search of their security forums on FLIR does not come up with much info for countering flir, but does talk about it.
For growing info IC is the shit, but I find Barry's vids much more concise and informative in the security regard. |

There is no greater source of grow related information on the planet, this includes security.
Instead of your "quick searches", why don't you spend a couple months just reading (instead of posting)....
I would never wave aside Barry's work, but, it pales into comparison to complete and total security info (which, is referred to as "Security 101")
Most will spend enormous amounts of time on trying to learn about growing (well, except you of course :lol), when in reality, time would be better spent on security.
Barry touches on basics (lightly).
Just checked. IC search of "FLIR" turns up 118 threads. |

Thats 118 threads that have the word FLIR in them, not that necessarily discuss how to get around FLIR or show tried and proven techniques.
Most threads will simply discuss the same techniques, a rehash of information over and over if you will.
Instead of insulting me and talking about bullshit you know nothing about, like "quick searches", security, growing pot, etc., you should read what your own search brought up and marvel in your folly.
Barry does much more than touch upon the basics lightly. He discusses everything you could find out from IC through hours of reading and searching.
If you know of any other tried and proven techniques used that Barry has not talked about thats been posted on IC or elsewhere, then you should state such techniques, show schematics of designs and setups, and detail how, according to you, it should be done. |

Barry touches the basics, which such product calls for, and never scratches the surface of all security issues.
As far as my input? My contributions to security commentary over the years have really not been matched by any other single person on numerous sites. That's a fact.
If your an amateur? Say so.....because it certainly appears as such, and, no shame in starting somewhere.... |

I don't think you would find the majority of my posts such....
You will though find such when I am addressing someone who makes claims and offers commentary on a field which they clearly have no experience or understanding of....
He's no brother in arms.....That is 100% certain (or does a grower call other growers "reeferhead" "slacked jawed dopers"......
