Just for now, I'll be back smoking in the near future. I'm currently jobless, do to my blatant disregard for authority. A lot of places want to test you for drugs, so to be on the safe side I've given up the sweet MJ.

It's my hope that I'll have a job soon and can once again partake in some nice bud smoking.

FZRaven its a sad time for us cannabis users when we have to stop something that we love to get a job. i know its illegal, but the beer drinkers sit at home at night and drink or get drunk for what ever reason..
WOW- and what makes it even more sad is the fact that cannabis 'is in my mind' safer than alcohol or cig.s.
responsable cannabis users dont smoke on the job, most use it to relax or releave the daily pains. FZ hope you find a job.
just my opinion. smoking

Sorry off to the side,
I must be pretty irresponsible! embarrassment I must be a functional Marijuana-holic!
Some jobs i've had, performance wasn't even a issue. Others, only the fear of consequence kept me from it.
It's funny, I can outperform most people at most jobs while I'm high. Straight people don't believe me if i tell them!
Surely, I couldn't build $60K semiconductor process equipment involving tolerance variations of less than +/- .002 in. while "high". Surely, I couldn't build machines to withstand the rigorous testing and efficiency standards imposed by customers like Intel. Surely, I didn't out perform airframe mechanics, automotive mechanics, machinists for my job. I did and I was high. I did it better than most that tried. There were three others just like me there. Those were the people I knew smoked!
Perhaps I'm an exception?

FZRaven, I am sad to see that you must give it up. The nice thing about Cannabis though is that you can decide to give it up and actually give it up! Been there done that many times.
Your statement is a ethical one not factual. Razz

Do what I did, be your own boss, or find work from fellow stoners ^_^ Those are the best 2 ways to work. I'm fortunate enough to have both scenarios.

Good luck on the job hunt!!

well my friend,,,its not so much about whether or not you partake as it is your feelings TOWARDS those who choose to partake.

believe me there isnt another person alive who despises drugtests more than me. ofcourse there are ways around them.

socrateez you are an exception, i really dont know you, but by your post you are a very smart person thumbsup , i ment no disrespect to anyone when i said 'responsable smokers dont smoke on the job'. i wanted to make FZ feel better hopefully. also for the employers that read this i wanted them to see that people do stop smoking for a job. 'at the beginning heehee' Silenced .
just for the record. i must be pretty irresponsible! embarrassment i must be a functional marijuana-holic too! i smoked on every job i had. i'll stop ranting.

Exception. Naw! Some of the best Auto Mechanics I've known were daily users. Master Mechanics, all certified.
Rebuilding complex machinery, I met lots of people who smoked pot. I also worked closely with engineers.Wink I was always high. People from other industries tell me similar stories. Ive had a lot of different jobs in my life.Wink
The only problem is the anxiety and fear of being caught and reprisal. Take the latter away and I suspect the former would disappear!
Worrying about getting caught for something that helps you live in this crazy world takes energy away from doing your job.
The prescription painkillers they give us fuck us up a lot worse than Cannabis. Half of America if not more are working right now under the influence of some pain killer or psychotropic.
