I look at the people around me, and I see a lot of alcoholics. Far from being embarrassed and wanting to get help, these people flaunt their alcoholism.

I have a female friend who's whole myspace is devoted to alcohol. She can barley afford to make rent, but she can always afford booze. She clearly has a problem with alcohol, she sees it herself, yet she takes a sort of joy in being an alcoholic. She drives around drunk with no thought of what might happen, here's the fucked up part. She was hit by a drunk driver last year, totaled her car and suffered back injuries. Now she's suing the guy for the whole thing, yet she'll gladly jump in a vehicle drunk and drive.

How clever you are, my dear! You never mean a single word you say.
Oscar Wilde

I think I need to get the fuck out of this town, bunch of redneck losers. That and crack is taking over town, it's really making a huge push. I can walk down the street, spin around in a circle with my eye's closed and point and have a 80% chance of pointing at a crack user. Keep in mind this is a town, well Tri-town of around 5000 people. Hell half my friends are crack users, I'm fairly open about drug use. It's just that it's getting worse and worse, I've seen a lot of crime in the paper. Of course the paper is not reporting it's caused by drugs, but I know these people and I know who's a crack user. It's not hard to see a correlation in the rise of crack use and the rise of crime.

And that's what grinds my gears.

here where I live,I see mostly Pill heads, and drunks.......most of them are both,I have never seen evidence of crack use,but have heard people talk about others who use it......Although I really believe if I were to ask,I could easily find it. What gets me is the amount of people I know and work with, that go out to lunch, and drinks their lunch.........I am soooooo happy, that I don't have that demon to deal with in my life cool

This person I'm talking about is a crack user to, Says she ain't but she has a bad memory. One night when I was over drinking, there was a few other people over to. They were all doing coke, except I knew they cooked it down cause one of the retards came out looking for baking soda. I walked into the room right as she was taking a big old crack hit. So regardless of what she wants to say, I know better.

Crack is a fairly big problem around here, nobody sees it yet because it's for the most part kept on the DL. I've been around and seen it first hand, it's kinda funny in a way.

I was friends with a coke dealer, someone would stop by and they would smoke a little. So this got the ball moving, give it a half hour and some more people would show up, then some more, then within a few hours they would have like 20 people showing up looking for some crack.

It's almost a funny thing to watch, all these people showing up and some of them begging for crack. I also find it funny that they proclaim it's nothing worse then pot, yet they always feel the need to do coke and crack behind a closed door. It's funny to watch the little line queue up for a crack hit.

The constant nagging to just "take a little hit" is also annoying. That would be the reason I don't hang out with these people anymore, just to annoying. You'd think after asking me a few hundred times they would get the idea that I was not going to do any no matter how many times they asked me.

I have dealt crack. i have been through more than my parents fair share of money for rehab. I thought this was about alcohol. the only thing i see coming into my town are crack and defense. They take over peoples lives. they arn't the same. I don't however Raven think that it is funny to laugh at someone who is addicted to it. I mean we have all called each other crakheads and such. after Rehab, That was the lowest thing you could be called. You are recovering from one of the worst diseases in the world ( addiction) and you then are giving up your drug of choice. You are then placed into a demeaning situation and the first thought is run back. It does not bother me 5 years later though. I belive i have overcame my addiction and can say I am recovering well. % years and running. I am just really tired of getting busted for Pot when crack dealers down the way flaunt it and get away with it. Uhh cracks crap.

No the fact that they are addicted is not funny, not in the least. But the way they act, at least to me is kinda funny. You would have to know these people, most are about worthless.

The small town I live in is a total shit hole, it really is. These people did not need crack to screw them up, they already were. The past time around here is getting fucked up, what gets you fucked up does not matter so much. Just last weekend I witnessed 2 people snorting Abilify, as far as I can tell it has no high. At best you might get Akathisia, which don't sound like a lot of fun to me.

These drugs, in this family, do not calm or sedate the nerves. They attack. They attack from so deep inside you, you cannot locate the source of the pain ... The muscles of your jawbone go berserk, so that you bite the inside of your mouth and your jaw locks and the pain throbs. For hours every day this will occur. Your spinal column stiffens so that you can hardly move your head or your neck and sometimes your back bends like a bow and you cannot stand up. The pain grinds into your fiber ... You ache with restlessness, so you feel you have to walk, to pace. And then as soon as you start pacing, the opposite occurs to you; you must sit and rest. Back and forth, up and down you go in pain you cannot locate, in such wretched anxiety you are overwhelmed, because you cannot get relief even in breathing.

In severe cases, akathisia can be so tormenting that the patient is compelled to take action, such as suicide attempts.[

These 2 people snorted a shit load of these pills, as soon as I found out what was going on I hid the fuckers. Never mind that they had no idea what the pills did, they just decided to snort them.

I could point out several people around who smoke rock, but you would never guess it. I've tried it myself and I don't think I look like the people you're talking about. I think that stereotype comes a lot from Dave Chapelle.

I don't mean in general, just when they are smoking it, when they are high they act funny.
