You top it, cut off the top, right above a node. Leave at least 50% of the fan leaves, that's about it. When you top it the plant will bifurcate, it will grow 2 stems, top each of them and they will grow two and so on and so forth. You can also bend the plant to fit it to the area you are growing it in.
Keep trimming the plant and you can get a nice short very bushy plant. |

flower early!
it differs from strain to strain, but most of the time when you go flip to 12/12, the plant will about double it's height.
If it's only 10 inches tall when you flip, you'll end up with about 20 inches.. *this is just a rough estimate and there are too many factors to take into consideration for an accurate measure.*
You might want to read up on SOG's, or SCROG'S, because if you're growing and have limited space, these are highly beneficial.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask

A much larger question that it appears......
Indoors or out, essentially comes down to the same:
More veg time, larger plant will be, less veg time, the smaller....
Indoor, you can flower from seed(12/12 from seed), which would be SOG, etc, more smaller plants, or you can give it 60 days veg time, and go trees.....buckets, etc....
Outdoors, the earlier you plant, the more veg time, the later you plant, the less veg time......(plant May, ewnd up with giants.......plant as late as August, you end up with smaller plants....)
Can then also do various things such as above, topping/fimming, which will also control it to a degree, and, in the end, genetics an issue also.....as not all plants will go to 12 footers, etc...(heavier indicas might have a max of 6-7 feet to start with, etc...)
Then you enter into earlier strains (finish earlier), AF's...(flower automatically, can be planted year round in Texas......)
Then you also enter multiple harvests due to season....if good weather, can also do February-March plantings, which again limits veg time, smaller plant, quicker finish......
Size is not what it is made out to be:
Fitting your schedule and needs is your target.
In or out: Spot(s) dictates the method, not the other way around... |

My bonsai plant. Was about a foot and a half tall when I started pruning it.

| the bigger the pot you plant the cannabis in the more leads it will have and the more buds it will produce. so to keep it small just plant it in like a 6 inch pot |
