| about 12 years ago i was cruising with three of my friends and we hit a check point. well i drop my weed and my buddy sat on it and i could not get to it. the man came to the window and asked for the divers DL. he stopped mid sentence and sniffed real big, then stuck his head in the car and did it again. he said "yep" and yelled for his buddy and told him to do the same and he did, even said "yep"(we were not smoking and driving and the driver was sober, although we had beer but that was legal at the time as long as the driver hadn't drank. they asked us to pull up and over. we did and my buddy up front threw his beer out and about five cops yelled "throw out" and jumped in the ditch. well the other talked about twenty minutes abouts if the could search the car and if they had PC. they finally did and found my weed in the backseat. i took immediately blame for it but they were hearing this. one said he thought it was my long haired buddies and i was just trying to help him cause he was on probation for another stupid thing. they put him up against the car and searched him, my heart sank because i had just got another oz for a show we were going to and it was in my pocket. they did this to my other two buds and when it was my turn the oler one told me to follow him. i asked my buds to get me out as sson as they could. i followed the cop to his car. he had all the stuff laid out there and wieghed the weed. a little more than 1/2 oz he said he would knock it down to a 1/4 if i told him how much dope we threw out and i said "huh? we threw beer out" he did not believe me and called in the dogs.they came and found nothing of course. after a hour of this he cut me loose. i was surprised. we all got in the car and was told to behave. as we pulled out the driver pulled out a huge bag of weed that was under the steering wheel and i pulled my out of my pocket and we had a good laugh. on a side note the cop had wrote the ticket wrong and i was charged with an oz and not a 1/2 like i had also he checked the box where i could mail it in or just pay it and when i went to pay the ticket the Mag. called the cop a dumb ass and said there was no getting around it i had to go to court. the big day came and i went to court. morning roll call was called and my name wasn't there. i went up to the DA and asked him this. we checked the ticket and sure enough the date was right and my name wasn't there. he told me that it was dropped and to go home. i thought a minute about it and this was not right.they don't just let you of the hook.i went to the clerks office and found out that there was a FTA warrant for me. the case was mis filed and was heard the day before.we called the sheriff in and straighten this all out. i went bak up stairs and at 3:30 my case was heard. i got 30 days sup,since i had a job and was in school, year unsupervised probation,24 hours community service and $160 fine. i only had $150, since the ticket said $85 i thought that was enough. i asked if i could pay it in the morning or pay the $150 now and pay $10 in the morning. Nope it's now or 30 days from now,my choice. thankfully i got $10 just 10 minute before the deadline. i look back now and laugh my ass off and how many mistakes they make. |
