Need help badly and quick

Barry: I thank you so much for your willingness to take the stand you have taken and I hope you will be able to give me some advice.

I am being stalked on line by a man that I believe to be an attorney and former employer. Having been harrassed by this man since I left his employ, he has now taken to the forums on my community newspaper website and has attacked me calling me a dopehead (which can be considered true, but i prefer to call my self a cannabis consumer) and his only posts are directed at me and all the trouble he has been able to cause me. He critiques every remark I post and then makes some reference to dope. In the past, he has had me charged and convicted of theft, I believe had a hand in my home being raided for dugs, tried to rip me for 35,000 plus dollars, and on and on and on. It has been a horendous 4 years and I am slowly weakening and beginning to fear what is coming next. I have 2 kids on probation and if we were to get raided and they conveniently "found" something - my kids and I are off to jail. No ifs ands or buts about it.

My question is what can I be doing now to prepare for this raid that, I believe if I am reading between the lines correctly, is headed my way. If it is who I believe it is, this man is soo very frustrated that his every attempt to do me in is met with some resistance from myself or the court system, at least so far. I don't have much hope for the next time. Should I be leaving some kind of paper trail as far as what I fear may happen. I am feeling very vunerable and quite frankly scared at this point in time.

I just found your website and joined last night not realizing what a blessing this site was to be.

Thanks for any advice and encouragment that you can share.

First and foremost,if you feel there is going to be an impending raid,get anything that can be construed as contraband out of your house and off your property.lay low.......Be proactive in what access this stalker has over you,for one stop giving him places to find you online. if you feel that he is still hunting you down,find someone who can help you. like the DA,or even the bar association,of the state you reside. cool

Um, restraining order? Clean your place out of all the shit stop smoking marijuana and anything else for the mean-time and after your kids probation move to a state with medical. If he keeps annoying the fuck out of you over the forums, calling canabis "dope" (which gets on my nerves too)go to the links at abovetheignorance.org about different medical treatments for it, respond back and hire a Norml attorney or something. There's lots of people who can help you. Make a artical about it. Excercise a lot too man. Hire a cleaning crew.

Yes my house is very clean but having been through this raid routine once before I know what they are capable of doing. I know my house is very clean and I have been letting family know what is happening and that there is nothing in this house. I guess I just want to see if I should be taking any specific steps to leave a trail for when they don't find anything except what they bring with them. Also, I am certain there is nothing in the house, but what if all the sudden a little baggie shows up in the bushes in front of my house or under a chair cushion on my front porch. Again, I have nothing there but that is not to say it could not be put there to justify a search warrant to get in the house. Probable cause, you know!! This guy is a criminal defense attorney and works for the Public Defender's office, he can probably get some real good stuff. I have been dealing with this bs for 4 years now and I am just getting tired.

I appreciate the fact that you also refer to it as cannabis. This is such a serious battle that we just have to win and I think that until we start to respect ourselves, we will not be successful gaining the respect we need from those who still refer to us as "dopeheads" and we don't demand more. I have 2 pet peeves and that is to be called "dude" and a "dope/pot/head". It is no different that if we were to refer to our brave troops as GI Joe's/Jane's. Even George Bush gets more respect that a cannabis consumer and we all know how deserving he is.

I would consider moving. Get out of his jurisdiction. Contact your local NORML attorneys and ask for some advice, as long as you are willing to cooperate and stay organized in your approach, I bet you could counter sue for excessive harassment or something technical.
